Pros - easy to measure oil, stable/won't tip - measuring right in the
baster thingy - attractive.

Cons - be careful! I lifted mine up by the neck and the neck came OFF!
It is NOT securely attached to the base (pear shaped part). Oil
went everywhere as it fell to the floor. BUT I was determined,
washed it all and CRAZY GLUED the neck (baster holder part)
to the base (pear shaped part). I recommend that you don't ever
lift it by the neck! What a horrible mess that was - and
very unexpected as I thought the unit was all one piece - it is
not. Oh, yeah, don't expect the baster to hold all the oil
well until it gets to your salad - plenty of "drip potential"
there so always move whatever you are moving the liquid to right
TO the oil dispenser! Do NOT put this item near your oven or
range or anything that an accidental drip from the baster or heat
would melt the dispenser/fire hazard. Hard to clean as oil
naturally would be from plastic. I do not know if dishwasher
safe / does not feel like it...?

Tip: Do not fill it up all the way up to the neck. If you do the
baster part gets all oily (or whatever is in the base). Only
fill it to the fill line.

Conclusion - TERRIFIC item. Just a few cautions / but works great and
the measuring part is a MUST. DO BUY THIS - you won't
be sorry at all...just be cautious with it in all ways.
I AM very happy with mine / even if I have crazy glued the
neck to the base - its a keeper! I expect tupperware
or equivalent to come out with an improved $-ier version.

I do Weight Watchers and according to the program, we are supposed to have 2 teaspoons of healthy oil each day. Well, as you can imagine, all my measuring spoons were constantly in the wash, and it was a real hassle. This dispensing oil bottle is like a dream come true. I bought two, one for flax oil that I keep in the fridge, and the other for olive oil that I keep in the cupboard. Its easy to use, keeps the oil fresh, and its fun.

The Progressive oil dispenser is an invaluable kitchen tool. Although it can be used for any oil, my wife and I use it for olive oil and it makes cooking simpler and neater. An especially nice feature is its built in measurements. We have given many away to friends and relatives and will continue to do so in the future. It looks nice on the counter, too!

Well made plastic container - no wavy distortions in the clear plastic. Eye dropper is also nice and comes with a samll cleaning brush to scrub inside - a nice extra. Functionally very good and is not a gimmic. The measuring dropper is handy. Comes with small clear labels that you could write on with a pen so you don't mess up the container with permanent ink. I may buy one more for olive oil.

I originally purchased this at Bealls, left it on the stove by the heat vent and melted it. I looked high and low for this product. No where to be found. I checked Amazon several years later and found it. So......I ordered two of them just to be on the safe side. They are handy on the counter and you can DRIZZLE the oil on the food so easily, plus the baster bulb has measurements on it, as well as the container. The container has a spout so you can pour the oil as well. It is just great and I love it. Shipping from the store in Canada was fast as well.

This has been a really handy device in my kitchen. Oil is a high-calorie and messy cooking ingredient, and I love having an easy way to measure and dispense it. Before I bought this dispenser, I used to either pour directly from a bottle, often dispensing more oil than I intended, or use a measuring spoon, which is just one more utensil to wash (not to mention that the size needed always seemed to be hard to find or in the dishwasher!). This unit not only makes it easy to dispense measured amounts, but also does so with no mess or drips.

The only thing I would change is that the container is made of plastic. I prefer glass. I don't know whether the measurement markings will survive long-term use and many washings. I plan to wash this item by hand and hope for the best. This is a device I had been seeking for a long time, and was glad to finally find it at Amazon!

While the measuring marks on both the dropper and bottle are useful in their way, the dripping makes using this bottle a two-handed job that's occasionally messy and isn't extremely precise. It is an improvement, both in precision and cleanliness, over using larger bottles that don't feature convenient pour spouts, and is lighter than the heavy glass bottles so often used.

Tired of wiping up after the sticky, drippy bottles that cooking oils come in? This dispenser was the answer for me. After reading the positive reviews of others, I bought two: one for olive oil, and one for peanut oil.

I've had them for nearly a month now. I am completely happy with them...no complaints whatsoever. They are exactly as described in the product details. And best of all, I no longer have oil smudges on the counter from the drippy original bottles.

The measuring/dispensing tube is great too. Whether adding oil to the skillet or drizzling over food, the tube makes it easy to add the right amount of oil.

They look nice side by side on the counter. They have a permanent place in my kitchen from now on.

I recently started Weight Watchers and this is a great product that makes it much easier to count points for oil portions. Plus it reduces the time spent washing small measuring spoons every night!

I was very pleased with the item. It was everything it was advertised to be. I find it very easy to use and a very sanitary oil container. I may be ordering others for different oils. The only negative was the difficulty in finding it on line. I had looked for months before I actually found one available.
