More than 30 years ago the founder of Portmeirion Potteries was inspired by 19th-century botanical illustrations to create the Botanic Garden collection of tableware and cookware. Each piece is crafted from fine glazed earthenware and features highly detailed floral designs complemented by a simple border of green leaves to give the collection a coordinated look. I have noticed a lessening in quality to the Pormeirion Botanic Garden line. The china was noticably thinner and the quality of the finish of the decorations was less than my original set bought 25+ years age.

Bought this set a few years ago. While it's cute on the table, the pepper shaker constantly stays clogged. For this reason, I can't recommend the set.
