I hesitated a lot between botanical garden and pomona. All my friends have botanical garden so I couldn't compare. when I got, I loved it. They are so beautiful and durable. I am going to collect all of Pomona.

This set is just beautiful and I love it! The product description does not indicate the country of origin. It's made in England/Brittan. Great set to have.

I just received pomona. I was very excited. When I opened the box, the packing was perfect. However, there are so many defects on the back of the oatmeal bowls and salad plates. Not well coated and tiny chips with coating! Water goes into the non-coated parts so the dishes soak!-.-;;
I am very diappointed with both amazon and portmeirion! They sold products without any worth.

I just got it, but 5 plates came as broken pieces. any idea where I can get a replacement?? need to directly contect to Portmerion??

I searched for dishes that had quality behind them, as I just returned a set made in China with so many defects it was crazy. It's nearly impossible to buy "Made in the USA" anymore, with few excepitions, Corelle and a few others. But you have to be careful, even companies that used to be American made are overseas such as Pfaltzgraff, Mikasa, and Onieda. So I went with England instead. I had no quality issues. They are beautiful, seem to be sturdy(time will time will tell). FYI the set with the defects were from Pfaltzgraff, the Tuscan Rooster...I have nothing good to say so I won't say anything at all except Cavet Emptor...beware!Then the other set which I was going to switch to was anothe Pfaltzgraff set,the "Luna del Luna" and the dinner plate and bowl had been recalled for lead and cadmium...so needless to say...I gave up that idea! You'll LOVE the Pomona!

It's Great! lovely items. Amazon delivered them real quick and safe without defected things fortunately! Pretty good~ nice product nice price on Amozon :)

I love my new dishes! They are sturdy yet gracefully elegant. The colors are rich and deep. I have had no problems with them whatsoever. I plan to continue to order them until I have the entire collection
