The book is presented with excellent history and interesting personal history of Susan Williams-Ellis and her family. The photos are very helpful and interesting and now I am collecting older Portmeirion while adding at the same time to my Botanic Garden dinnerware. This book is now on my coffee table for reference and for others in my home to enjoy. I highly recommend it to antique collectors as well as those with a passion for Portmeirion.

Recently while searching on ebay for vintage Portmeirion Pottery I came across a copy of this book. Upon investigation was able to obtain it for a bit better price through Amazon. There does not seem to be alot of information available on this subject so finding this book was welcome. It is a very good guide to the history and catalog of this fascinating company. The authors seem to have a genuine interest in what they are writing about. My interest in Portmeirion stems from being a collector of items related to the sixty's television show The Prisoner which was filmed at the resort of Portmeirion. The book does a nice job in touching on the use of the pottery in the series and a listing of patterns used on the show. All in all a good read and in addition very nice color potographs of the various patterns. This would be a great addition to anyone interested in learning more about Portmeirion Pottery.
