Most Helpful Customer Reviews

4 of 5 people found the following review helpful By ELIZKAYE on November 27, 2011
This beautiful book is a tribute to the human spirit, to its remarkable strength in the face of that which would weaken it, to its endurance and courage in the face of that which would defeat it.

We need to know about these remarkable people. Thanks to Barbara Mack's amazing photographs and Jane Jelenko's perfectly rendered text, we can.

A most powerful book, with beautiful writing and photographs describing survival during evil times. Everyone should read this book.
