Book Description

December 2002
Portraits in Passion is the inspiring story of twenty-one women who pursued their dreams, emigrating from America to Israel, transforming themselves and the people and society around them in the process. Coming from diverse walks of life, these apparently ordinary women chose to leave the comfort of America to embrace the challenges of living in the Middle East's only democracy.Portraits in Passion: Vision and Values of American-Israeli Women allows us to share their journey. More importantly, it invites us to learn from them. Portraits in Passion teaches us that it is not farfetched to dream, to aspire - and to achieve your dreams.

5.0 out of 5 stars Positive News from Israel, January 31, 2003

This review is from: Portraits in Passion: Vision and Values of American-Israeli Women (Paperback)
With all the bad news coming out of Israel it is indeed a breath of fresh air to read Dr. Anita Jacobs' evocative book. She depicts women who can face many challenges, even living under the tyranny of terorist attacks. Anita's ability to bring these women to life is phenomenal.
