Good for people looking to learn Continental Portuguese or Brazilian Portuguese. Step by step teaches you the proper sounds necessary while building vocabulary. I am very comfortable with the pace of this course. I would recommend the Berlitz phrasebook and CD as an accompaniment for those looking to learn Continental portuguese just for reference because although it's fairly useless on it's own you will get a clear sense of the Continental pronounciations.
