Product Description
The long, storied history of the Portuguese fishing industry is well respected around the world. Unmatched in quality, these outstanding sardines, Pilchardus Walbaum are collected from the waters just off the shore of Portugal. They are caught between May and November, when sardines are at their best. Only fresh fish is allowed. The process involves manual cleaning and very careful handling, followed by the traditional cooking in a grill oven before being canned. Available in four varieties: olive oil, spicy, tomato, skinless and boneless in olive oil. Serve these delicious sardines as hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour or as an appetizer before the meal. Varieties sold separately.
