5.0 out of 5 stars Fun!
The authors state in their introduction that when they first started posting a 'position a day' on nerve.com they didn't think their readers would try the positions at home.

Some of the positions seem to defy the laws of physics, but something about seeing the drawing and reading the funny captions makes you want to believe - it just makes you want to try it anyway...

Ok, this book IS funny, THE FIRST TIME YOU LOOK THROUGH IT!!! Overall, i would not recomend this book because it's one of those books, that you'll just look through one time, and one time only! Yeah....there are a lot of positions, but they are all repeated in the book like five times, with different names! And another thing, there are a lot of positions that are not even...

And another thing, there are a lot of positions that are not even posible, and some only with a giant swing, or how about a horizantal or verticle pole...yeah many people have those in their houses. BUT SERIOUSLY, THE ONLY POSITIONS THAT YOU'LL BE ABLE TO DO, ARE THE ONES THAT YOU KNOW ALREADY! !!

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother, unless you're in for a laugh., July 10, 2006
This review is from: Position of the Day: Sex Every Day in Every Way (Paperback)
No other reviews helped me with what I got when I bought this book. First off, unless your into guy on guy, woman on woman, or multiple partners, this book might have no interest to you. The positions in this book are redundant, and most of which everyone has tried. The harder ones require great flexibility, which can be fun but there's not enough of them. They have half the book as the above mentioned, guy on guy, girl on girl and more then two people. This is definately not for just couples. if you're a couple and looking for a book to get hints from, this is not the book. Also, if you don't have horizontal and veritical poles in your house, that takes away another quarter of the book. So basically you're only left with the same positions everyone has tried numorous times.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun!, December 29, 2003

The authors state in their introduction that when they first started posting a 'position a day' on nerve.com they didn't think their readers would try the positions at home.

Some of the positions seem to defy the laws of physics, but something about seeing the drawing and reading the funny captions makes you want to believe - it just makes you want to try it anyway ... just to see.... what may happen... because... well you never know.

Many of the positions are basic (I mean come on - everyone has done that a few dozen time) others are creative and many are outrageous.

You can tell I really like this book because I've read absorbed it enough to recognize there are at least two duplications and a few positions that are variations on the same theme. Still with over 300 to choose from why complain about such a small detail?

Pass this book around at a party and you will learn more about your friends than you ever wanted to know. Just today I heard tales of a collapsing bed, escapades on a billiard table and a few people commented that the authors left out water sports and nature trails.

This book also comes in a calendar version for 2004. I recommend buying the book version instead so you can refer to it year after year.

I love the book. I just received it today and I'm going out tomorrow to buy a great big rocking chair and a bunch of extra pillows.

4.0 out of 5 stars fun and sexy, February 4, 2004
This review is from: Position of the Day: Sex Every Day in Every Way (Paperback)
This book is not meant to be taken seriously (although many of the sex positions in it are very serious! some are almost like yoga) but it is really fun to look through and get ideas for your sex life.

5.0 out of 5 stars hilarious... and so fun to try, January 31, 2006

I purchased this book as a Christmas gift to my boyfriend, and it has made its way from his room to his college apartment's coffee table, where it gets tons of attention, laughs and instigates very interesting conversation. And I'm sure it has instigated its share of experimentation as well. The names of positions are unbelievably funny and the illustrations humorous as well. A great investment.

3.0 out of 5 stars Funny, but some of the position are repeated, May 19, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Position of the Day: Sex Every Day in Every Way (Paperback)
This is a funny book to "read" and more fun to try with your partner or partners. Some positions require 3 or 4 people, just make sure that your health insurance is paid because you may get hurt trying to pull off some of the positions.

The only reason I didnt give it a higher rating was because some of the positions were repeated and just named differently. But definitely a good book to have.

Enjoy!

1.0 out of 5 stars A joke book, December 31, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Position of the Day: Sex Every Day in Every Way (Paperback)
Most of the positions in this book are not humanly possible. The authors' intro to the book says it was written simply to catalog as many positions (with clever names) as they could think of. If you are looking for a book that offers sincere advice for positions, look elsewhere.

Sex every day in every way.
A position a day keeps the love doctor away.

What Stephanie Thought: There aren't too many words to describe this book, considering there weren't any words in it at all! Composed solely out of pictures (of ah... ahem, sex positions), Position of the Day is almost like a photograph calendar. One picture for each day. 365 pictures total, for 365 days. As in one year.

Unlike a real calendar though, this book isn't specifically dated (it only says Jan. 1, Jan. 2, et cetera), which means you don't have to chuck it after a year. You can use it again and again if you'd like, and the best part is, it never gets boring, since you only repeat each position annually.

I love how unlike most Kama Sutra books, this one actually offers realistic sex positions you can try, ones that don't require you to tuck one leg behind your head and roll the other under the natural alignment of your hip bones for "maximal pleasure"... you know what I'm talking about. I'm flexible, dammit, not a carnival acrobat! My boyfriend and I skimmed through the book together and dogeared (don't worry; that's not a position) the ones we found interesting or just really arousing. And then we (cover your eyes!!!) tried a couple of the real winners and had a smashing great time. Initially, I found this method frustrating because there are no captions or instructions in this little pocket-sized book. So it is basically a guess-and-check sort of thing. Hate to put it that way, but for lack of refined words, it's the best way I can describe it. However, I do suppose simplicity is what puts intrigue into a good book. Without any pesky suggestions invading the cartoon-like drawings of this playful Kama Sutra, it leaves my boyfriend and I, the readers, the performers, openminded and able to do whatever we wish. No twisting around to read from a book during reverse cowgirl (not that I've tried reading during sex before...) -- it is essentially up to us to make the most of our own pleasure, and for that type of freedom, I am truly grateful.

One thing that bothered me was the repeats. I should have mentioned this before, but the "you only repeat positions annually" thing is sort of a scam. I found a few positions in this book -- for example, the January 10th and December 31st positions; that's only 10 days apart! -- that are exactly the same, only are called different names. Which, if you think about it, is a creative way to deceive the reader, but not a very lovely discovery for the reader herself. Yes, I am talking in the third person.

If you're still reading this, I apologize for the uncouthness of this post. There's no smoother way I can really discuss sex. At least not on this blog. Wink wink.

Radical Rating: 7 hearts- A few flaws here and there, but wouldn't mind rereading.

3.0 out of 5 stars fun...to look at, October 18, 2008
This review is from: Position of the Day: Sex Every Day in Every Way (Paperback)
This book is full of ridiculous and funny positions...a lot of which seem impossible. None the less, it's great for entertainment or even inspiration. A lot of the postions seem to repeat with only their name being the difference. Good for a laugh.
