This book is much more than a history book about earth based religion. It is a complete philosophy of living. I know this sounds dramatic but this is one of those books that deserves to be studied in the same way as most people study holy books. Her emphasis on Oneness and on the REASONS for the effectiveness of various religious traditions is one of the unique characteristics of this book. I don't know if Marion Weinstein knows how important her ideas are to our current times. I highly recommend this book!

I have used Words of Power statements many times since I first read this book in the mid-eighties. Each time they helped me focus on bringing into my life things that were "perfect for me" - jobs, homes, even romantic relationships. I can't recommend this book too highly.

This is my all-time favorite pagan book. It is written for beginners, but covers a lot of important ideas. Her "10 foot pole" and "words of power" are the best.
