Finally! A postcard book for fiber artists!,

Our art quilters group recently started making quilted postcards as a way to help us become more prolific in our work and give us a quick, low stress place to learn new techniques -- and where we could practice working our way out of those little challenges that come up in every art quilt project! I've been looking for an inspirational book, but found that many of the fiber/quilt postcard books out there were highly templatized and simplistic; I wanted something that focused more on helping you bring your own original ideas to life. This book is exactly what I was looking for! The author makes great use of those fun novelty prints that we all purchase on impulse but never know what to do with ... and she shows you how to embellish and change them up to make them your own. Building on the ideas in this book, you'll soon be making -- and mailing! -- your own little quilted gifts for friends and family, or for the many charitable art card projects going on right now.

This is the best book out on the market for the postcard maker.
I have several books on postcards....all with specific patterns to follow, but none that inspire creativity. This book gives you a place to start, and the means to grow, as your skills improve. Super book....and the only one you'll need if you are delving into the world of fabric postcards.

Best of the Fabric Postcard books,

Just Wonderful! Not only has Bonnie come up with new ways of doing fabric postcards, she has injected a whole other level of interface between the fabric and the artist in all of us. With these well-written instructions, anyone can create little pieces of art that pleasure the eyes and warm the soul. Her photographs are sumptuous and plentiful, the text organized and thoughtfully presented. Added to all of that are the very warm and delightful personages of Bonnie and Philippe, both of whom I was happy to have met at the Sisters, Oregon quilt show this year. If you can only buy one fabric postcard book, then this is the one to get.

A thorough book on making your own postcards that is geared to both the beginning and advanced artist. The photos of completed postcards are worth the price of the book! Steps for making postcards are explained well and can be easily followed by anyone--sewer or non-sewer. The materials that can be used just begin to wet the appetite of anyone interested in making postcards. Everyone will enjoy reading and looking through the book!

Positively Postcards, is the best of any postcard book I have seen.. There are step by step instructions for very beautiful postcards. Creative ideas with which to progress, while giving the basics about the variety of quilting tools to use. Photos are fantastic, instructions are clear. When you are making these postcards, you can use these instructions & methods to progess to larger art quilts. Go on their web site and find just the supplies to make each design as a gift for all your friends. Collect all the designs.

This is the best postcard book to enable one to create their own fabric postcards. Most books just give you patterns. The fun of postcards is being able to design you own to create something unique. This book gives you the techniques to accomplish this.
