This review is from: Possessed By The Sheikh (Harlequin Presents # 2457) (Mass Market Paperback)
This book is one of my favorite Penny Jordan novels. It is about a woman who is abandoned in the desert, and almost captured by a bad man from a group of primitive rebels. The hero is undercover pretending to be an "outlaw" when he rescues the heroine. In oder to claim her for himself, and therefore protect her, the hero is forced to fight the seadier meber of the rebel group for her. Love ensues, and passion, all while he is trying to keep his true identity a secret from her for their mutual protection. A truly wonderful read, about honour, protection, and love.

When a young woman is stranded in the desert by her adulterous boss, she is kidnapped by a group of outlaws. The man who captures her advises her that he will sell her for a profit, but she comes to realize he really captured her to keep her from being abused by other members of the group. When he is challenged for her the only way he can protect her is to marry her but he assures her that the marriage is a tribal ceremony and will not hold up in her country. When they give in to passion and he realizes she was a virgin her captor vows to make the marriage real. Later it is revealed that her captor is not really an outlaw but half brother to the king who is undercover to foil an assassination plot. When she is injured protecting him, her new husband believes she loves him as he loves her. When she threatens to leave him if he cannot be honest and caring with her they discover their love for one another.
I had a bit of a problem with the two people in this book falling in love in one day. I know it happens in books, but it happened to them without even knowing anything about each other but the ugly words they throw around. This just wasn't too believable but it wasn't bad either. The hero is hot just give him a personality and he would have been hotter.

This book of hers was okay. It did have a good storyline. I don't know what she could had done to make it better. It just seemed that I wanted to finish it so I could start another book. She is a good author though.
