I have recently purchased this CD as a suggestion from my friend. Since I am a huge fan of this type of genre, this Album totally blew my mind and it never leaves my CD player. This Cd is full of melodic power metal riffs and a great glorious atmosphere. I strongly suggest this album to anybody, even fans that do not listen to this type of music in particular. This album might change the way of your music taste. This album is definitly a huge winner!

Has all the elements and the lyrics sound medival like Manowar. If you like other different bands like Dark Moor, Gamma Ray, Sonata Arctica, Sky Lark, Labyrinth, Avalanch, you will like this European band.

Amazing through and through,

I heard the sample "Dragonlord" from metal-rules.com and I loved the song! I was hesitant to get the album because I thought that would be the only good song and the rest would be horrible. I experienced this before and I didn't want to blow [money]...... But after hearing all the songs, I had to say that these guys from Morifade know what they are doing and are damn good at it! Many songs were better than Dragonlord! First off, this type of metal isn't for everyone. It is melodic metal. Each song has epic quality and you know must have been "crafted" with care. The theme is medival/fantasy and maybe some metalheads may be shocked that it isn't thrashy and lightning fast (that's another genre folks). But if you want to listen to another genre of metal that just oozes out talent and amazing songs, well try Morifade "Possession of Power." Listen to a few samples, and give it a shot. Melodic, POWER Metal... Yeah, that's it! I personally think this is one of that best buys I made for this genre and I can't stop listening to it.

This version contains the EP "Across The Starlit Sky", which is equally excellent musically speaking. While it does contain their original lead singer I would never have noticed if I hadn't done a little research on the band's history. However, there is actually a 5th bonus track on this edition (the one I proudly own) which was the bonus track off their "Cast A Spell" EP. This is interesting as this second EP is included on their third full-length album "Domination". I still recommend purchasing their second album "Imaginarium" first as it is a glorious masterpiece in the genre. Otherwise, this bonus tracks edition is also worthy in every repect. This is intelligent Euro-Power Metal of the highest quality.

4.5 stars. I have to admit to being completely enamored with Morifade, so a glowing review of this album is an exercise in cyber-worship. Having said that, I seriously recommend this album to fans of intelligent Euro-Power Metal with ingenious songcraft and superb arrangements. However, the version of this CD I have came with "Across The Starlit Sky" EP tagged onto the end as well as the bonus track from their "Cast A Spell" EP, so I would recommend seeking out that version of this release for maximum return value. "Across The Starlit Sky", while including their original lead singer, is excellent besides; and to be honest, I probably would never have known otherwise if I hadn't done some research on the band. Also, buying "Cast A Spell" is now unnecessary as it is included on an import version of their third full-length release "Domination". Everything else aside, I would recommend buying their second album "Imaginarium" first as I believe it is quite possibly a perfect Power Metal creation. Of course, after "Possession of Power" there was little to improve upon. In summation: there are editions of this album and "Domination" which include their two EPs respectively, and "Imaginarium" is my ultimate first-purchase recommendation. With the exit of their second lead singer and long-time lead guitarist it hardly seems possible Morifade will ever achieve the greatness of their first three albums, EPs included, ever again. This is speedy, intelligently crafted Euro-Power Metal of the highest quality.
