1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By Midwest Book Review on December 9, 2010
Format: Paperback
With a collection of poetry to his name and much experience in teaching and enjoying writing, Doug Ramspeck brings readers another volume with "Possum Nocturne". With his own dedication to the Midwest, he speaks on the issues that many people of the region take to heart. "Possum Nocturne" is a fine read with plenty of poetic wisdom, highly recommended. "After the Storm": And so she rises. Crosses/to the window. Looks out into/the lowlands./Or let's say that in her dream/a massasauga, small as a dropped twig,/injects alluvial venom/into her blood./The lightning stitching its way/into the night sky.
