5.0 out of 5 stars Don't miss this series! March 9, 2014
By Intikab
Format:Kindle Edition
I got the first book to see what it was like. By the end I was hooked! I was desperate for the next volume to appear and grabbed them as soon as I could! Some of the technology is actually not that far away which makes it that little bit disturbing (in a good way) to think that this sort of thing could actually happen in our lifetime! The story grabs hold of you and pushes you forward and shows you one possible future and then takes you another step further!

Take this opportunity to get the set and I am sure that you won't be disappointed. Plus, you don't have to wait for the next book to come out - you already have it!

5.0 out of 5 stars The whole set is free, at least for today...... March 5, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
What an incredible opportunity! These books would make any sci-fi lover happy. I read each one of these individually as they were published and was surprised how my expectations were exceeded each time. Get these books while they are free, but definitely worth paying for if you miss this special offer.

Like Star Wars, the books weren't written in order, but no problem there. Read them in the published order like me or read them in chronological order. I think either way works out fine.

The first book I read from David was "The God Killers" because I liked the title and I've been hooked ever since. Love the brand new cover. Just patiently waiting now for his next book. I'll read anything he writes.

Just realized he has a fifth book in the Post-Human series ready for pre-order called "Inhuman" and due out April 27.

Oh goody!

David is a great writer and a nice person. Catch him on Twitter and get these books. I guarantee they will keep you happily reading for a while.

5.0 out of 5 stars What Happens To Life As We Know It" March 10, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
David Simpson has created a masterpiece, a view into one possible new and frightening world. Mankind has sent itself on a path that could mean the end of human life, as in our quest for an easier life. Long talked about and feared by many, Artificial Intelligence has become a real and "living" thing.

Wow. Take this amazing trip through a future world. Artificial Intelligence know controls what the world has become

Books one through three lead you on an unforgettable journey through the future, with a cast of characters that grab you and make everything you thought impossible seem real.

Everything changes as life on Earth is almost destroyed. What is left is controlled and hunted by what man has created an Artificial Intelligence. One that grows stronger, more powerful and becomes evil and self sustaining.

Our heroes are locked in a battle to save life and the world. They travel to a new world attempting to find a way to defeat the powerful destructive AI.

As you follow the many twists and turns one man, James becomes what appears to be the only hope left for the human race; or what is left to save.

Then book four appears to be completely unrelated, going in a totally new direction. As you become engrossed in a new plot and wonder what is next..you are suddenly blindsided.

You discover how the AI was developed and the entire series becomes clear. How very tricky, of David Simpson.

Can not wait for book five, it is sure to be another "can't put down" page turner.

5.0 out of 5 stars David Simpson is a great writer. March 10, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
David Simpson's creations are so believable. I found myself fully engaging with James, Old Timer. A.I. and Thel.
From the first book onwards I was hooked. The mix of science fiction and philosophy is in a league of it's own.
The author has great understanding of what it is to be human. I was intrigued by the seemingly endless possibilities of artificial intelligence.
Have ordered Inhuman and waiting patiently for my treat.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Author Keeps Getting Better and Better! March 9, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I borrowed the first few books of this series for something to read and am thrilled to get my hands on my own copy of the collection. I started reading expecting the typical not so great editing of indie books and found myself so lost in the story I glossed over the much fewer mistakes than most indies I've read (I'm a bit of a closet Grammar-Nazi while reading).
I'm more of a fantasy reader so maybe the makes me more open to Sci fi scenarios. I didn't stop to decide if the story was believable, I was too busy getting to know the characters and worrying about how they'd extricate themselves from the situations they were in. At the same time I didn't feel lost by the technical jargon. I understood enough to make sense of the plot and even daresay I learned a little. I know these books definitely make me think and feel and look forward to more. The books and the writing keep getting better and I can't wait for more work from David Simpson!

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible Series February 5, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This series is as philosophically rich as it is exciting and fast-paced. It is a story of the true nature of humanity, with all the love, loss, and pain that make life so real. The story is well-conceived and well-told. Each setting is constructed so that every part is necessary for the plot, and the various elements become important in unexpected ways. The characters are particularly rich and likeable in the final books, although each character sometimes demonstrates individual flaws that help them seem real. The implications of this story are endless, and I can see this quickly becoming a favorite series that can continue to grow in many directions. I sincerely hope that David Simpson will add to this collection. The pace is relentlessly fast, and each plot twist adds to the overall story without distracting from it. The logic of the plot is clear and well-organized, but Simpson leaves enough uncertainty to keep you guessing. In the end, there are no loose ends and I found myself speculating for several days about what might come next.
