About the Author

M. P. Bratzel, Jr. -- a native of south Florida, received a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Florida in 1971. Active with the environmental restoration and protection of the Great Lakes. Interest in German colonial philately, with a specific interest in the postal history of Cameroun. Author of numerous articles in the philatelic literature.

R. J. Maddocks -- long had an interest in the postal history of Cameroun and the German colonies. Published numerous articles in the philatelic literature. His employment has allowed for numerous overseas postings, including a total of ten years in British Cameroons, the Federal Republic of Cameroun, and nigeria.
