Using device for c-Spine Stenosis,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Posture Pump Spine Trainer Cervical Spine Trainer Model 1000 (Health and Beauty)
I've just started using the posture pump C Spine trainer to hopefully help, or keep at bay the stenosis in my neck. I do notice that after using the trainer that the dull ache in my left hand middle finger disappears, so pressure on my pinched nerves is being relieved. I was scheduled for a C-Spine fusion, but 2 Harvard Med Doctors disagreed as to whether I needed the surgery, so I delayed it. I hope to use a program of exercise & the posture pump to avoid surgery. I plan to have another MRI 12 months from now to see how my stenosis has progressed after a year of this therapy.Given the affordable price, the device is made well enough for its intended use. Strapping in is not too hard to figure out. Using the device can be uncomfortable depending on the type of condition your neck is in. I don't have many symptoms & my range of motion is good, so I would consider myself a good candidate for this device. Since you have control over the inflation pressure, you can decide how much of a "stretch" or "curve" you would like to re-introduce to your spine. The instructions suggest starting off slowly, using moderate inflation pressures & durations, which I think is good advice. You'll need to acclimate your neck to using the pump. The device works best when used on a firm surface, like a carpeted floor. I don't recommend using it in bed, as the surface is too soft for the pump to work your spine. My only criticism of the Posture Pump is that I think the inflation bladder could be a little wider (for comfort reasons), but it is possible that if it were wider, that the desired spinal curve may not be achieved during inflation. To summarize, I'd recommend the Posture Pump C-Spine Trainer. It does relieve symptoms. It is a program that you will need to employ daily - but don't be too eager. Take your time building up to that daily routine. If the Posture Pump can help you avoid or delay surgery it will be well worth it. I'll know more in 12 months.

The article was recommended by my chiropractor and it really works wonders. I use it daily. It takes 15-20 minutes and has helped with my cervical pain tremendously. I took away the head straps which I found a nuisance and do not add up to its functionality. To the contrary. I would suggest they be taken out and maybe reduce the price?

This product has really helped my wife's neck. She is a Zumba instructor whose neck tends to really start to have pain for about a week every year or so. The device seems to help restore (I sound like an ad) the curvature of her neck.

I have been using this for a while now and it really does seem to be helping my neck and shoulder pain. I used to go to the Chiro every week and now I'm going about every 3 weeks. Even he says it is helping...in fact, he has one in his office!

I ordered this item through amazon.com for another person. He had used a similar product at his doctor's office and wished to purchase one for home use. It arrived promptly and works as he expected it to.

This item has the same quality that my chiropractor uses but I got it at a much better price. The item is small but sturdy, making it both easy to store and easy to use.

Cervical Posture Pump,

This review is from: Posture Pump Spine Trainer Cervical Spine Trainer Model 1000 (Health and Beauty)
The idea of the cervical posture pump is great. I have had 4 car accidents where I had whiplash. It has caused trauma to my neck, losing the correct curve of the cervical spine. So using the posture pump at this time still hurts. I have started just with slowly increasing the inflation of the neck piece with each of the recommended 15 pumps. At this time I am not ready to leave the cervical pump inflated and stay on it for 15 minutes as per the directions. When I am done with the 15 pumps at varying levels, my neck hurts for several hours. I know that I need to be patient and this will improve over time. I hope and pray that the curve will return to my neck there by avoiding a neck surgery and decreasing my daily horrible headaches. I am not there yet. This was recommended to use by my chiropractor.
