5.0 out of 5 stars Much nicer than expected
For how low of a price these are I really wasn't sure what to expect. I love these pillows. The egyptian cotton covering is incredibly soft, as soft and smooth as my 600 thread count egyptian cotton sheets at least. I am not even putting pillowcases on these because they are just sooo soft as is.

Perfect amount of firmness for me. I hate soft pillows where you...

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful pillow!
The pillow is extremely hard. When you lay on it your neck sits up a good 4-6 inches so if you like really soft pillows, this is not the one for you! Also, whatever it is stuffed with is really noisy. Whenever you move your head, the pillow "crackles." I put my old one back on and I will stick to buying pillows in stores from now on.

Perfect amount of firmness for me. I hate soft pillows where you head basically falls into them and winds up being level with the mattress, that can't be good on the neck or spine I wouldn't think.

These are perfect, when I picked them out I didn't even realize they were sealy Posturepedic, just like my 1 year queen sized mattress. I would pay double or more for these, they are THAT nice.

4.0 out of 5 stars okay, November 13, 2006

Initially the pillow was at a perfect firmness it has been a couple of months and it seems to be loosing its firmness. The ruffling noise it makes is not an issue I just wish it would keep its shape. Regardless of the price one pays for a good pillow they don't seem to last. Kind of sounds like life in a nutshell! Sadly as with life firmness and longivity are the first to go in time our mind will and then all will be perfect maybe that is when I will try to find the perfect pillow.

I agree with another reviewer. They are very tall and hard, makes for an uncomfortable nights sleep. Probably better to buy in a store where you can judge the firmness. Only product from Amazon that I was not that happy with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best for SLEEP!, December 4, 2006

I'm not sure what the reason is for so many people to "Trash Talk" this pillow. I put it at the top of my bed where pillows belong and later, at night, slept on it, and I have to say, it did its job like the finest Egyptian thread count ones, but with less $$$ (dollar signs, but dollars is what I mean). I'm often tired due to a challenging schedule (get up, have Grape Nuts, drive to work, come home, watch television, argue, download songs, feed the cat, read books sometimes or magazines, decide what to eat, etc.) and when my last pillow broke I thought about going to the nearby large bed and bath store (I won't say the name, but it's "beyond" my wildest dreams), but I really enjoy Amazon.com and have purchased many books here (Dr. Phil is a favorite of mine, and also his friend Opran), and purchasing a pillow just "felt right". It took a few days to arrive and during that time my neck was sore, but when the pillow got here I was ok. I think I will order a couple more and put them in the back of the closet next to my air popcorn popper for emergencies. Buy a pillow online at the Amazon! "From A to Z to Pillows!!"

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, February 10, 2007

I bought this for my boyfriend because he just won't toss out his old, "distressed" pillows. He loves it! It feels so cushy but firm to the touch. I'm hoping the loft lasts longer than most fiberfills do. I came back and bought another one, because he raves about it so much! I can't use it because my neck is shot, but he adores it, so now he'll have two.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Pillow, November 10, 2006

I am a side slipper and have allergies and this pillow has been perfect for me. I put an allergen cover on it and it provides enough support for me. Not everyone would like it, it is more of a firm pillow.
