Economics and Baseball,
This review is from: The Postwar Yankees: Baseball's Golden Age Revisited (Hardcover)
An interesting read for anyone interested in the Yankees, baseball and economics. Surdam revisits my earliest years of being a baseball and Yankee fan and takes the reader through some of the golden years of Yankee domination, 1947, 1949-53. There is perhaps more non-baseball data in this book than the average fan might appreciate, but any one with the slightest interest in economics and baseball will find this book a fascinating read. My only criticism is that Surdam is too objective in his treatment of the GREATEST TEAM IN BASEBALL. :)
