Potlucks make sharing good, home-cooked food with family and friends simple and easy. Start with a few (or a lot of) guests, bring delicious dishes to share, and mix with love. A proven recipe for success.

Linda Evans Shepherd and Eva Marie Everson, the popular authors of the Potluck Club books and veterans of countless potluck dinners, have gathered their favorite recipes. From salads to casseroles to slow-cooker delights, there's something for everyone, even if you're watching your waistline.

These great potluck ideas not only save you money, they also help you build memories to last a lifetime.

"Linda and Eva Marie have loaded up every woman for success in the kitchen--and better yet, success in all their relationships too. These two serve up love in the form of some great recipes and great ideas sure to nurture the soul."--Pam Farrel, bestselling author of Men Are Like Waffles, Women Are Like Spaghetti

Linda Evans Shepherd and Eva Marie Everson are award-winning authors, successful speakers, and radio personalities. They are the popular authors of the Potluck Club series and the Potluck Catering Club series. Linda lives in Colorado and Eva Marie lives in Florida.

Enjoyed this cookbook and its references to the Potluck Club series. A few ingredient sizes and instructions are missing, however, so I can't recommend it for the inexperienced or beginning cook. Tried a couple recipes so far with very good results!

Having just read my first Potluck Club book, I looked forward to reviewing the accompanying cookbook. It did not disappoint. The recipes are easy to follow using food items found in most kitchens, with encouraging side notes like, "We always made this dish following the holidays. What a great thing to do with your leftover turkey." and "Here's a no-bake, easy-to-make panful of yum." and "This is one of my husband's very favorite cakes!"

It's organized so that any cook can find a new eating adventure to try. At the end, "Meet the Authors" is an interesting question/answer segment that fans will appreciate. It would be fun for a book club to read a Potluck Club book and hold the discussion meeting with members creating recipes found in this cookbook.

Any new cook or young bride would appreciate this as a gift. In addition, we old (ahem!) veteran cooks will rediscover foods we've tasted at potluck dinners.

Well named cookbook that should appeal to the readers of the Potluck Club novel series.

I have a handful and a half of recipes that I plan to try or have tried.

24 Hour Coleslaw is fabulous and easy for those who like a vinegary coleslaw.

I had one recipe failure, Fudge Icing, which may have been user error (trust me, that happens).

Some of the other recipes out of the 125+ available I plan to make include: Shrimp Scampi, Oriental Skillet, Lemon Barbecued Chicken, French Toast Souffle, and Pasta Pizza Pie.

Most are party/gathering appropriate dishes. Some sound great for family dinners. A few use lower fat ingredients but many are full-fledged, full-fat potluck fare.

Recipe book collectors, Potluck Club fans and those looking for party dishes might want to check further into this cookbook. I'm giving it a three because I found less than 10 recipes I had to have.

A versatile cook book that will appeal to many people. All the recipes are easy and made from simple ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry. The authors share their own dishes with little anecdotes about each recipe, as well as anecdotes about the Potluck Club book characters.

If I have any complaints it's that there are some inconsistencies: some recipes state how many servings, but others don't.

I am an avid cook and have well over 100 cookbooks. I've owned a restaurant (Toodles in Newport, TN) and stil do catering. This cookbook is by FAR at the top of my favorites list. The recipes are practical and can be used several times each week for different meals. I highly reccomend this book to beginners and pros alike. I also love the Potluck Club series, one of my favorite stories and I can't wait for the next book!

This companion cookbook to A Taste of Fame is good one for those looking to step away from the normal rotation of their cooking repertoire. Beginning cooks may find some of the recipes frustrating in that some of the portions servings and ingredients are missing.

I am by no means a domestic goddess. I wish I was, but I am not. So, when I hear the dreaded word "potluck", I draw a blank and am reminded of my shortcomings in the kitchen. But now, I have relief and help in the form of The Potluck Club Cookbook.

This cookbook has recipes for desserts, salads, casseroles, breads, Crock pot meals and more. This is a wonderful cookbook for someone like me because the recipes are simple, the ingredients are common and easy to find, and the food sounds good (except for the Elephant Stew, not too sure about that one!). Most of these recipes have few ingredients making them easy on the budget, something important to a lot of families these days.

Most of these recipes are familiar favorites, so if you are looking for exotic or unusual recipes, you may not like this cookbook. I do not like to make exotic dishes and when I am cooking for others, I like to keep it simple and stick with popular tastes that will please a lot of people. I have really enjoyed this cookbook and I will keep it close by and will grab it first when I have to bring a dish.

The only thing I would change about this book is the lack of pictures. I would like if there was a picture of the finished product for each recipe. It helps me to see it and makes a book more fun. Other than that, this is a fun cookbook.
