Very convenient,

It's very nice not to have to move the potty seat off the toilet every time we need to use it, and it's a sturdy seat. It doesn't clean as easily as the regular seat because the under side of the regular toilet seat has ridges and valleys, but overall I am very pleased with this product. It's simple to install and the lid is lightweight enough for a toddler to lift.

the cover falls down with the potty inside. there is another brand that has magnets that stick the potty to the cover- makes much more sense. This is very plastic and the front edge of the child sized seat was very sharp. i returned it so my kids didnt get cut on their bottom.

The elongated version is still an inch too short for our standard elongated toilet. The bolts do not fasten down tight so the whole thing is wobbly. The three piece seats do not stay in the upright position for my husband to use the toilet. The toddler seat is the only thing we like. If you can put it on a toilet specific for that use and you don't care about the look of it being too short, it would be fine for that.

Great concept, easy to use.,

This seat works well for our child to use. We have several bathrooms and now we can keep the portable seat in one place instead of carrying it upstairs and down every day. The only drawback is that when an adult needs to use it, the large ring often has residual moisture on it that needs to be cleaned off before use.

New and improved?,

I recently bought this and wanted to note that I think the manufacturer has been reading the reviews and made updates. The package I received said to take the bolts off of your existing seat, but the hinges had bolts already permanently molded into them. It also has a small tab below the front of the child potty to keep boys from spraying on to the adult seat. So far my child, who previously was skiddish about sitting on the big potty, has loved it and I've had no problems.

I bought two of these toilet seats for the two bathrooms used by my twin 3-year-olds and guests. In a nutshell, we love them. I was worried that the guard for boys wouldn't be adequate for my gents, but it seems to be just the right size for the job. And the boys are both able to use the big potty all by themselves.
The only reason I gave the product four stars is because I wish it was made from normal toilet seat material. These are hard plastic, which isn't as comfy as the normal laminate seat. It really is a five-star idea! Thanks, Dr. Merry.

With young 2 year old twins potty training 2 little pottys just wasn't working for us so we wanted to get rid of 1 and this seemed like a great way to make them feel comfortable with the big potty. To that it works great & they do use it. The problem we have is that when they pee it gets all over the regular seat that's underneath if they're not lined up right over the hole so we're still cleaning up pee after most uses (and if you don't know they've used it and you go to use it, well you just need to look before you sit!). If it didn't cost so much to ship back we would.

I bought this seat for my three year old boy, to make potty training a little easier. He wanted nothing to do with the portable little potties. He wanted to use the real thing like mom and dad.The seat is very comfortable for all of us.His seat folds down easy and is nicely shaped so he feels safe and can sit without holding on too much.Potty training has been easy and quick with this seat.We are all happy with it.I gave it four stars because of the installation hardware is plastic.I was expecting real metal nuts and bolts.Over all I think it was a great buy...

This is a great product. The reviews stating that it is cheaply made are obviously looking for a stylish product. this product is quite functional and easy to install.

Thin, plastic, hurt's daughter when she uses it,
By A Leroux (Puyallup, WA) - See all my reviews

I just recieved this and was very excited about the idea that my daughter could comfortably sit on the potty without looking like she's going to fall in and without having some wobbly insert that can be removed (which, no matter how much I discourage, I continue to find her putting on her head like a hat... ick).
I received the toilet seat and was a little bit leery when I noticed the thin plastic, where the bottom and top of the plastic meets, it was not smooth. Instead, right where someone sits and the skin somewhat (and just barely) has applied pressure and molds around the form of the seat, the plastic has an edge and somewhat jabs into your skin - it wasn't smoothed at all. But I installed it anyway, because this will enable confidence in my 3 yr old when she goes to the bathoom. Maybe her seat isn't like the adult portion? Its in the spare bathroom, so it'll almost only be used by her. She was excited at first when she saw it and immediately wanted to use it, but by the second time, she started to complain that it hurt her butt. She now won't use it and prefers to use my bathroom, which defeats the purpose entirely. Its a great concept, unfortunately, poor execution. |
