My twins both love this book and its step-by-step instructions. This book really speaks to kids with respect and describes the process of going potty in all its details, but remains fun. Most other books I find are really vague about what is actually going on and what is expected.
If kids get bogged down in all the words, you can always just read the titles or the first sentence or two on each page as they get the hang of it. My kids are used to me explaining anything to them in a way they understand so they appreciate this book. Getting to put a sticker on the potty chart every time is a huge motivator too.

I was looking for a way to motivate my mostly-potty-trained kid, and I liked the silly drawings and sticker chart in Pottypalooza, so thought we'd try it out. I wish I had read it prior to purchasing: my son (3) likes this book, but it's pretty long and wordy, some of the drawings (e.g. the "potty police") are a little scary, and the extra questions section introduces some ideas that could be scary to toddlers (for instance, the author tries to reassure kids that they can't get flushed down the toilet, or that the noise of the toilet flush is not a roaring dinosaur--nice for kids who have those fears, but maybe introduces fears to kids who didn't previously have them!). This book therefore seems best for older preschoolers, but most preschoolers have done some potty-training and don't need a detailed explanation of the potty steps. The pictures are still pretty cute, and it's nice to have a premade sticker chart and book all together, but I think there are much better books about going to the potty for toddlers.

My daughter LOVES this book. It's silly, funny, and gives step-by-step instructions to using the potty.

The description said like new. The book should include a potty chart in the back pocket. The one we received did not include the chart. This was very disappointing. My son was looking forward to using it. If the book is missing something, it should not be advertised as "like new".

I got this book in hopes it would help my little one with pooping on the potty. I guess I didn't read the description well enough. This was not the right book for this purpose. I couldn't determine if this was written for kids or adults or both. It's VERY wordy. Lots of words on the pages, not short enough to read to my 3 year old. It's just an odd book. There are much better books about the potty on the market. Everyone Poops or Potty would be better recommendations. I would not buy this book again or recommend it. It's not that it was that bad, just.....odd.
