This watch definitely helped my son and I remember to keep trying to go potty and reduced the number accidents. He really like the design and the songs and kept him engaged in potty training. But who designs a toddler watch for potty time that is not water resistant what-so-ever?! It stopped working after two weeks and I opened it to change the batteries and it had all rusted out just from my son washing his hands! So unless your children don't wash their hands after potty, then it's bound to get a little wet. So if your like the product, you'll have to buy two or three to get through potty training. Not sure if it's worth it at $10 bucks a pop, but maybe for some. It's helping my son for now, so I bit the bullet and gave him the extra I bought for gifts.

My son thought it was a lot of fun when we first got it. It even comes with suggestions for lyrics for "potty songs" to sing to the tunes it plays. Very cute. But like most things in toddler world, the interest was short lived. Now getting to pee on poor little gold fish crackers offers a lot more incentive. But for the price, I can't complain. It got him into the initial swing of going potty every 30 to 90 minutes. So I would definitely recommend this to someone who is just starting out and wants to make potty training more of a fun event. If you are reading this I can only guess that you are working on or planning on beginning potty training. I wish you the best of luck and I'm gonna offer some unsolicited advice. Try to remember that this is the toughest thing you or your toddler have done together. Imagine if you had to start going to the bathroom on something huge, noisy, complicated and totally outside your experience. So treat your child and YOURSELF with a great deal of compassion.

I bought this watch for my, "almost three" year old. She was thrilled with it and I thought it was a great little watch and a wonderful idea. The problem is that it only lasted for one day of normal wear indoors and was not handled roughly at all. The lettering on the front turned into a big purple smudge after about an hour and then the window began looking like it had sticky goo on it. I tried to wipe it off and then realized that it was the plastic itself that was this way. It was getting all scratched up and gummy looking. After one day you can not see the numbers behind the window so that you can set the timer. I wrote to the company and never received a reply. I feel that this product is not worth a dime and the company does not back it up. DON"T BUY THIS POTTY WATCH unless you don't mind flushing your money down the toilet.

My son was really getting the hang out of going potty with this watch. He thought it was great to have a watch like his Daddy (not that his Daddy's is a potty watch.) However, his stopped working within the first week. It was pretty disappointing.

My two-year old was really stubborn about going into the bathroom until we got her the Potty Watch. Now she runs for the potty everytime it "sings" and says that it's time to go potty. It has held up very well, even when it gets a little water on it while she washes her hands. It is easy for parents to set and impossible for the child to "unset." People seemed to say it wasn't very durable and broke very quickly. We've had ours for several months now and it is still working fine. In addition, my daughter is now in underwear and reliably uses the restroom even without the reminders from her potty watch. Totally worth it!

As a first time mother, potty training is the scariest thing I have yet encountered. Every mother I've talked to had a slightly different method used for how she potty trained her child. Some mothers made it sound so effortless, and to me it's difficult!!

My maternal relatives like to order items for my daughter from the One Step Ahead catalog. For my daughter's 3rd birthday they'd selected a few items that I didn't want her to have, so I hastily suggested this Potty Watch (more a gift for me, really!) and one other item.

For those who aren't familiar with the Potty Watch, I'll explain how it works. There are 3 different settings: 30 minutes, 60 minutes, and 90 minutes. I started out with the timer on 30 minutes, and then when the music started and the lights started flashing on the face of the watch, my daughter knew it was time for her to go "try" and sit on the potty. Before I had the Potty Watch, she hated being interrupted in playing and eating to go and sit on the potty. Thanks to the Potty Watch, she is really excited about sitting on the potty now and it has made part of my job as "potty trainer" easier.

My biggest issue with the Potty Watch is its design. The watch face is really bulky, and some kids may be turned off by this and not want to wear it on their wrists. But the biggest problem I have is how hard it is to push the Timer button. Sometimes it takes me several tries to get it pushed in so that I can adjust the timer as I need to. Someone with arthritis would not be able to change the settings on this watch. It's not at all user friendly, but it is kid proof. The design is kid proof, and pressing the buttons with a gentle kid touch will not mess up the settings the parent has chosen.

I think the Potty Watch is a really good idea!
