4.0 out of 5 stars Better reminder for me than for my little guy!
This is a great concept in the world of potty training. It plays a cute song to remind your child or you to "try" on steady intervals. I set it for 30 minute and remind on half hour and ask him to try on the hour. Potty training took a week... My 2 year old would now wear the watch himself, but I put it on my wrist just fine so I'd hear it while doing laundry or...

This watch definitely helped my son and I remember to keep trying to go potty and reduced the number accidents. He really like the design and the songs and kept him engaged in potty training. This watch definitely helped my son and I remember to keep trying to go potty and reduced the number accidents. He really like the design and the songs and kept him engaged in potty training. But who designs a toddler watch for potty time that is not water resistant what-so-ever?! It stopped working after two weeks and I opened it to change the batteries and it had all rusted out just from my son washing his hands! So unless your children don't wash their hands after potty, then it's bound to get a little wet. So if your like the product, you'll have to buy two or three to get through potty training. Not sure if it's worth it at $10 bucks a pop, but maybe for some. It's helping my son for now, so I bit the bullet and gave him the extra I bought for gifts.

2.0 out of 5 stars Potty Time watch, August 21, 2009
This review is from: Potty Watch, Blue (Baby Product)
The first one worked nicely for about 2 weeks. Then the battery died. Unfortunately we had the old version. It was glued together. IE you can not change the battery. We contacted customer support @ Potty Time inc. They sent us a new watch free of charge. Only it was defective. The screen is angled and only displays when you hit the button.

A little disappointed I forced open the first one only to find that it was all rusted out from water via hand washing. This is a great idea that is red flagged by manufacturing defects. Great customer support only goes so far. Its like the newest designed Xbox 360 still has a 50% failure rating. Who wants to buy that?

If you cant make it water resistant put a Velcro strap on it. Its not easy putting it on or taking it off.

If you get one that works take it off to wash their hands.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor Battery Life, March 26, 2009

The batteries were dead when we received the watch. Had to pay almost as much as I paid for the watch just to get new batteries. Then those batteries died within a week. And I was mindful to turn it off when it wasn't being used. When the batteries work, it works well. Maybe I got a faulty watch, but it burns through the batteries so fast I quit using it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Needs to be water-tight, October 3, 2010
This review is from: Potty Watch, Blue (Baby Product)
We had this watch for a week - after 3 days it stopped playing music, after 5 it died completely. I took it apart to change the batteries and found it had gotten wet and rusted out the connections. I loved the watch while it worked, but simple hand washing shouldn't cause that much damage.

4.0 out of 5 stars great potty training tool, September 6, 2010

This is a great idea. It takes the nagging away from the parent and makes it fun for the kid. The only drawback is that they should have made it more waterproof. My son got it wet while washing his hands, and then the watch malfunctioned for a bit. The front was all fogged up with moisture in it, and it kept going off every few minutes. I turned it off, and when we came back to it the next day, the moisture had gone away and it worked correctly again. We didn't use it much after that because my son was really catching on to the potty routine. But, I would imagine that if we had kept using it, the problem would have continued and worsened.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great when it works., July 18, 2010

This is a great aid in potty training when it works. The first one I purchased lasted several months. It stopped working so I recently ordered another. We used it for about two weeks and it would not reset itself after the first time interval. I have since ordered a third after sending number 2 back and the sound stopped working after a few days. Frustrating that the quality is lacking. I am now going to resort to something different.

This is a great idea and worked great for a few days... then the writing on the watch was already wearing off and the watch no longer working. I wish they would make the product better.... I would be willing to pay more... for this product in better quality!

2.0 out of 5 stars NOT SO GREAT. CHEAP., March 21, 2010

I have heard so many good things about this, but I am not impressed. For starters, It looks like it was made wrong. When I opened it I saw right away that the "timer" button had been pressed down so hard that it was no longer in the right placement. When I tried to press the "timer" button to set it, nothing happened. Thinking maybe I wasn't pressing it right, I went and got a paperclip. I thought this would help press it better but still, nothing happened. After about 5 minutes of pressing it, it FINALLY worked. Only problem is now it won't change to anything else! It won't let me press it. Also, it won't turn off. I have been hearing it go off every 30 minutes for the last 3 days.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great idea-junk as implementation!, February 15, 2010
This review is from: Potty Watch, Blue (Baby Product)
Bought two of these for my twin granddaughters to use. Frankly, the watches are comparable to the $3. Walmart ones in quality. They are a challenge to all of the college plus educated people in our family who tried to help with them, including a PHD engineer and a aerospace and physics major! Save your money and set your timer or buy a couple of cheap ones and clip to the child. This is absolutely an awesome idea but poor quality and to difficult to use to be practical if you are trying to potty train a child or two! Maybe even unsafe-the reason we threw them away after spending good money for two of them and the shipping. One good thing was the guick shipping.
