5.0 out of 5 stars Works perfectly
I am using this on a gravel driveway and it works great. I just adjusted the bottom skids all the way down to keep from throwing gravel. First snow of the year was very wet and heavy I was worried it might bog down but it ate through it like butter. Only thing I would like is heated grips :)

Please know in what country your blower was made. The engine is fine --the working parts could be a problem. After a half hour of blowing 12 inch snow, the auger mechanism broke. It's the shaft that presses on the auger belt that broke due to a poor welding job. I called up the pro-poulan manufacturer and received a run around and then finally a person told me where to...

3.0 out of 5 stars warranrty problems, January 15, 2011

Please know in what country your blower was made. The engine is fine --the working parts could be a problem. After a half hour of blowing 12 inch snow, the auger mechanism broke. It's the shaft that presses on the auger belt that broke due to a poor welding job. I called up the pro-poulan manufacturer and received a run around and then finally a person told me where to get it fixed. It cost $70 for the job. I called and called and called again to get someone from Poulan to reimburse me. No one could help. Went back to the repair shop and they told me that Poulan will not recognize them as a Poulan dealer. So, here I am out $70. I talked to some customer service person who said it is too bad I went to a non poulan repair shop AND they would not consider my claim. So my advise is to by a Poulan thrower at a local dealer an not on line--you will find that no one is responsible WHEN BUYING ON LINE.

This does an excellent job and is effortless to use, but I gave it a lower rating because I did a comparison price shop and Amazon gave me this model and I purchased it thinking it was the one I really wanted. It isn't Amazon's fault I did not completely read all of the description. The model I wanted had electric start and a headlight.
