I purchased this mower from a different retailer. It failed after 3 months of residential use on our lawn. The retailer wouldn't/couldn't honor the warranty because the unit contains gasoline. Briggs & Statton wouldn't do anything for me after taking it to an authorized warranty repair shop ($45 min. charge). They said the blade must have struck something and bent the crankshaft. My daughters mow the lawn and haven't fessed up to hitting something, the blade was slightly bent with a few pencil lead size dings. Poulan customer service provided no help via their on-line customer service process. All in all a disappointing purchase. My previous lawn mower lasted 13 years and survived several bent and replaced blades. The engine on this unit does not seem to be suitable for the intended use.
