Despite its large engine size, the PR621ES is easy for just about anyone to use. This gasoline-powered thrower weighs 70 pounds and features an ergonomic steering handle and electric start push button for easy starting and maneuvering.
The Poulan Pro PR621ES Snow Thrower will run for up one hour and forty-five minutes on a single tank of gas.
Efficiently Clears Snow without Damaging Your Driveway
For maximum snow intake, the PR621ES has a 21-inch clearing width and a composite scraper bar, which helps fully clear away snow and prevent damage to your driveway. Snow is displaced through a 13-inch-tall chute, which features a smooth-ratcheting design for easy direction adjustments.
Durably Constructed to Handle Tough Winters
Designed to handle whatever winter throws at it, the PR621ES features a fully welded steel frame that is E-dip painted for complete protection.
The thrower's auger housing is also made of steel, and it features ball-bearing supports and fiber-reinforced rubber blades for reliable propulsion. This auger propulsion system eliminates the need for additional cables, belts, or chains for the traction drive.
For further durability, the PR621ES boasts high-density polyethylene chute and body panels that resist impact and other types of damage.

Good but not great,
By CD Collector (Leesburg, VA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Poulan Pro PR621ES 21-Inch 208cc LCT Gas Powered Single Stage Snow Thrower With Electric Start (Lawn & Patio)
Mine arrived quickly and in good shape. Like the other reviewer said, it comes with SAE 30 oil and that is recommended only for over 50 degree weather. So I put in some 10w40; no big deal. I choked it, primed it, and it started on the first pull. You can unchoke it right away and it runs great. I also tried the electric starter, and that worked great as well. It seems to be a very powerful electric starter, unlike the battery-powered kind on lawn mowers. On hot restarts, the engine wants to be choked again. If you do that, it still starts on the first pull. Overall I'd call this a great engine with a great electric starter system.
Now for the downsides. (1) When tilted back (resting the handle on the ground) gasoline will run out from under the gas cap. This shouldn't happen with a properly fitted venting cap. (2) When you engage the auger paddles, the thing makes a horrible racket like it's trying to beat itself to death. I'm sure this is the problem the other reviewer had as well. The problem is that the rubber auger paddles are too big (tall?) such that they hammer the ground, the scraper blade, and the internal housing. I figured they'd wear down, so I went ahead and attacked some snow. Well, when spinning the blades are so wide that the front of the machine actually rests on them and the scraper blade is off the ground. This helps pull it forward, but some snow blows back under the scraper blade and all over your ankles. But it does have very good power and good throwing distance. (3) The shape of the handle is awkward. The non-electric version has the better-shaped handle, IMHO. To solve this blade problem I'm going to run it for a while, holding the front down on concrete with paddles engaged, and try to wear these rubber paddles down to the proper size. With that I'm hoping it will work as designed. I'll try to get used to the handle and remember not to tip the thing back. And if this doesn't work, I'll go back to my old Toro.

Great Snowblower,

I like this snow-blower. I didn't have any experience with single or dual stage snow-blowers so I wasn't sure if this would get the job done. I did know that I had limited storage space and I needed something reasonably small. This snow blower works very well and throws the snow more than far enough for residential purposes. In fact, you'll have to direct the snow down to keep it out of your neighbors yard.

can't stop it,

This review is from: Poulan Pro PR621ES 21-Inch 208cc LCT Gas Powered Single Stage Snow Thrower With Electric Start (Lawn & Patio)
Very happy to get it so quickly. Wanted to start it up before the first snow fall and found it started quite easily. The problem began when I removed the key and it would'nt stop. I reinserted the key, removed it and it still ran. I frantically tried calling every store I could think of hoping someone could help me, to no avail. The book lists no number or web site only an address in Charlotte,NC. Yellowbook had no listing at that address. It ran for well over an hour and finally ran out of gas. Can anyone tell me what to do so I can get this thing working correctly.
