This album has a comprehensive collection of Poulenc's choral works. The Sixteen sings them pretty well. It is good to hear Poulenc's minor works by a choral ensemble with a good reputation. Although they are technically perfect and beautiful, I occasionally feel they sing too dramatically or sharply. It is probably an English way of singing soft and mild French songs.
