It looks nice, and sounds promising, but ultimately this scale just doesn't live up to expectations. It has stopped working after just six months. It defaults to pounds and ounces, so I have to set it to grammes every time. The timer is just too much trouble to use since you have to hold the button down for a long time as it counts up in seconds. Just not a good buy for the price.

It looks nice once wall mounted, however, it is very flaky to use. The clock is so cheap that if you try to set the time on it, the buttons tend to sink into the back behind the cover and you have to take it apart to fix it. This happened twice and the second time it broke for good. The main controls for the scale are fine, otherwise it is just a cheap, cheap item all in itself. I would say for 15-20 dollars you can live with it, but for anything more, I would be very upset about purchasing it if it were me. I only paid 20 dollars with shipping included. Good Luck, you will need it. Overall, poor engineering and flaky contstruction.

After purchasing this scale, the LCD display failed to show any information. Emailing the company brought no results and when i contacted a branch of the retail outlet where i bought it told me that they had to pull all of Terraillon's products off the shelves because they had so many returns, and even THEY had problems reaching the manufacturer. They offered to give me a new scale, but they said they wouldnt guarentee it would work for very long. This item belongs in a dollar store ... its certainly not worth the $50 we paid for it
