Sometimes I just hate album assemblers.
Who buys expensive boxsets? Right people who
want to collect a complete period of an artist.
If you are such a person, just buy the
France Gall 'longbox' available at amazon.fr
it contains all her Philips recordings: 74 tracks
in total on 3CD's with a beautiful 32 pages
photobooklet (13.5x24cm) at a much lower price.
Save money and get 8 hard to get France Gall
tracks extra and believe me no fillers but
killers and with a lot more attractive shape.
Or ask amazon.com to put it on their site.
Why don't they have this one? They got
Brigitte Bardot's Initiale Bb (Box) [IMPORT]
same label same serie same shape and
also the complete Philips output (apart from
some dispensable instrumentals from her
'Bardot Show' album)
P.s. If you think you only like this era of her
do give her album 'France Gall' from 1974 on Warner
a try: you might love it: she still has the same charm
in her voice on this -typically seventies- album

as the sixties. A pitty everything between 1969-1973
(nearly 40 songs!) is not on CD.

Do you like France Gall? How many times have you listened to Poupe de Cire?. This french singer from the sixties had tons of great songs composed by his father ( R. Gall ) or Serge Gainsbourg, orchestated mainly by Alain G. She had a charming voice and her songs have all a lovely and catchy jazz touch. For ye-ye fans.
