Maybe I don't venture out that much, but I'm pretty sure Arthur H is most of the time one of the most innovative pop-jazz musicians out there whose songs actually are good, and occasionally, great. This album evokes the blase je m'en fiche attitude of Arthur H's first album, while at the same time introducing a mild dance element about which I at first held some skepticism, but less so now (sort of along the lines of le lion et l'elephant from Trouble Fete but this album's better I think). I've only rudimentary french abilities, so it takes me time to understand the lyrics...thusfar I'd say they're one notch below the lyrics on his first album's songs, otherwise I'd give the review 5 stars probably. Of course, by the time I finally understand all the lyrics, I'll probably think they're much better...as for the music itself, Arthur is indisputably back in the zone.
