4.0 out of 5 stars Rate the music not the movie!, March 18, 2003
... If you take the music by itself, it's a beautiful score with a sad tone. If you like Goldsmith's action this is not for you. One thing I don't like about Goldsmith albums, is that they are too short or missing music from the film!!! ... You buy a score if you like the music, who cares about it's relation to the movie. ...

5.0 out of 5 stars Hauntingly Beautiful!, June 29, 2006
By Susan L. Trout (Sacramento, CA USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Jerry Goldsmith created one of the most beautiful music scores ever with this film. The movie itself remains one of my all-time favorites. You simply cannot watch it and not be moved. There are times when I listen to this CD and I can only cry--it is that powerful!

Whatever you have to pay to get a copy of it, spend it! You won't regret your purchase!

4.0 out of 5 stars A masterful depiction of melody where heart and mind meld.
This soundtrack is less of a complement to the film, rather an extention of it's very essence. I dare say perfection was reached. Yet I dare not think it. Read more
