Women at work have been asking my hubby what he washes his clothes in. Hmmm. Well, needless to say, my husband has NO idea what laundry detergent I use. I've sent the hubby off to work with a little note in his wallet, "Brandon's WIFE uses Gain Powder Original Scent Laundry Detergent on his clothes."
Onto the details.......In my opinion, the powder works better at cleaning than that liquid. And there's not another detergent that can beat the scent of Gain. I purchased 240 load deal after seeing 120 loads at Wal-Mart for $17 + tax. You can't beat this subscribe and save deal! But it's so much detergent that it'll take me at least 6 months to use all of it! That's not a bad thing!!! ;-) I HIGHLY recommend Gain powder in the original scent, and especially the 2 120 load boxes.

I've been a Tide washer for years now, but I happened upon a good deal on Amazon when this was still subscribe-and-save. It actually is doing a much better job cleaning my clothes than Tide was, and it's less expensive! I have two children who don't consider it a full day until their clothes are covered in mud, paint and/or ketchup. With Tide, the pile of play clothes (not deemed wearable in public due to staining) was getting bigger and bigger. I've done several loads in Gain, and it's doing an amazing job lifting out those stains.
I've heard many people comment on the odor of Gain. Most find it enjoyable. When I'm doing laundry the smell is overpowering and permeates the laundry room, the hallway and into the kitchen for hours. I consider that a definite "con" - it's not a smell I'd like that strongly in my house. However, once the clothes are rinsed and dried, the smell is not so strong and is actually pleasant on the clothes.
Overall, I'll be buying this again. If you get it on Amazon, watch for the price fluctuations. It's gone up twenty dollars for the 2-pack since I bought it a few weeks ago. Might come back down, but at the current price while I'm writing this review, it's much more cost effective to buy it locally.

This is my all-time fav. as far as laundry detergents go. It arrived promptly, and went almost immediately to work in the Maytag. Fresh scent, it does a super job of cleaning the threads!

This is a great product, and I got it at a great subscribe and save price. I typically prefer Seventh Generation products, but I did enjoy the scent of Gain, and it has good cleaning power as well. I am very happy with my purchase.

This lasted us for almost 8 months of FREQUENT laundry. I would even use an extra half cup because I love the smell. Mmmm.... I'm so happy that amazon sells products like these so I don't always have to go to the grocery store and lug this around. Thank you amazon. So....when will you guys start selling products by Soo Ae Zin. C'mon! :-)

I love the smell of Gain! We've been using it for years and every once in a while I switch to something that is on sale and regret it. I always come back to Gain.

I love Gain, but their new commercial, using the adjective "gooder" instead of "better" has got to GO! Gain is the BEST I've ever used, but they need to fire the one who wrote their newest commercial and the one's who were dumb enough to allow it on T.V. I do not appreciate their abuse of grammar, nor the reflection of stupidity that it puts on those viewing it in the U.S.. I get angry every time I see it shoved in my face! Gain should be producing the best in their commercials, not teaching our children that what the schools teach is incorrect.

I love the smell. I love the way it works. I love that you can buy it in bulk on AMAZON! I do typically only use about half what it says to use, which makes it last FOREVER- but I have found that it works just as well and rinses better.

I really like Gain laundry detergent. I recently bought the Gain with the Island Fresh scent and I do think I like it better. It smells cleaner to me.

I love this laundry detergent! I was buying the All powder detergent and then I found the gain powder detergent. I think it cleans a little better and smells a lot better too. This laundry detergent you do not have to use a lot to clean your clothes and these packages are really big so they should last a long time. I also bought the original fresh dryer sheets to go with it and they work great, it really makes your clothes smell fresh and clean!
