Power Girl 13-Inch Deluxe Collector Figure

I don't pick up many sixth scale figures, largely due to a lack of space to display them, but when I had the opportunity to buy this figure for [...], I couldn't pass it up. Power Girl stands about 13 inches tall, and the proportions are accurate to the character as she appears in the comics(you may wish her body was a bit more muscular, depending on your personal preference). Power Girl's head sculpt captures the appearance of the character well, although her expression is a bit blank and more doll-like than I would prefer. The eyes have a glossy sheen over them that gives them a more lively appearance. The only paint apps on this figure on on her head, so thankfully, they're pretty much perfect.

The articulation follows the standard established with prior releases in the line; it's quite good, but not perfect. For example, the wrists have a cut joint, but no hinge. Still even though a couple more POAs would be nice to have, the figure does have more than adequate articulation, and you can easily get some very dynamic poses.

The outfit is quite good overall, with a well-fitting spandex-like material for the main part of the costume, and pleather-like material for her gloves and boots. The rope is nicely done, and the cape looks very nice, and hangs well. It would have been nice to have some wire in the hem of the cape to allow for posing it more dynamically, but it's okay as is. One minor gripe is her belt, which is not removable. This made it much tougher to remove her outfit, which was necessary to rectify the major problem with the figure. To conceal the joints on her bare legs, DC Direct decided to put a pair of hose on her from the waist down. This is intended to give a more natural fleshlike appearance. Unfortunately, they look rather awful. They tend to bunch up around the joints, particularly the hips, and just generally hurt the overall appearance of the figure. I decided to remove them, preferring the visible joints on the legs to the awful appearance they had with the hose. Unfortunately, the shade of fleshtone used on the plastic for her legs does not match her upper body, so the look is far from perfect. Which look you decide to go with is really down to personal taste.

PG includes three sets of hands: a pair of fists, a pair of open hands, and a pair designed for holding accessories (even though she doesn't come with anything to hold). The only other accessory is the stand, which is not needed for basic poses.

In the final analysis, this Power Girl figure is flawed, but still a nice addition to your collection if you are a fan of the character. If you can find her for a decent price, say, under[...], I recommend the purchase. Just keep the figure's flaws in mind when you buy!

This figure is incredible. The detailing is superb. DC has truly made a work of art with this creation. The costume, the detail everything is what it should be. If you're an avid collector or just starting out this powergirl figure is a great way to begin.

All in all this one is nicely done only minor details need work on like the hands sets they could be better done so they wouldnt come off easily. and legs fabric keeps sliding a bit. other than that I love it.

So I finally got this today, it's a pretty awesome figure to have on display, along with my other figures. I mainly got this because I needed something to go with my first issue of Power Girl comic and this was a perfect addition to that. I recommend this for anyone who has ever been a fan of Power Girl.

Hands do seem to come off a bit too easy though.
