Worked but overrated,

These batteries worked fine but are grossly overrated. I got an expensive charger that tells you a battery's actual mAh by fully discharging them, then records how much mAh each take to charge. None of them exceeded 1700 mAh. They're no where near what they're rated, false advertising. They must figure few have the equipment to test them and even fewer will waste the their time and money by complaining and mailing them back. I'm not sure if this an industry practice or just used by discount brands such as Power2000. I'd be curious to compare them to Maha batteries.

This product refused to hold a charge. At this point, it appears to be a waste of my money. I would not recommend this product at this time.

I've used them heavily for over 2 years (I'm a wedding photographer) and they've worked great.

No new rechargeable batteries are at their peak in the beginning -- it takes a few charge cycles to get them up though these started off worse then most, I don't think I've gotten more then 500 mAh out of any of them and one turned out to be a dud. Supposedly the more you use them, the better they will be. I've had a pair of these I got through Adorama (though those were rated 2900mAH) for a couple of years and they have been fine. Over the past few months I started needing a lot more batteries and was still using a couple of the cheap Power 2000 little chargers. Everything was fine for a few months, but in the past 6 weeks efficiency decreased a lot! So much that I couldn't even use the batteries anymore. I then went and got the La Crosse charger and it seems to be restoring the batteries, but it does take forever (days). I now wouldn't get any kind of batteries without a nice charger that lets you see how much mAh you actually have or if you have a dud battery that's screwing with other good ones. The only other thing I wish I had gotten (and still might) is a battery restorer -- if a battery dips below a certain amount of charge it won't charge up so this gadget should bring the power back up a smidgen so you can charge the battery. I haven't had the time to do the full recharge/reboot cycle with these, but so far performance has been poor.
Would have given 2 stars, but accidentally clicked on 5 and it won't let me change it now.

These batteries work great if you plan on using them the day you charge them. But if you charge them and don't use them right away you'll find that you have no charge left.
I would charge these and put them in my camera and after a week (of no use) they would be completely dead. Since I don't have many devices that require this sort of usage (use it all up in one day), they are pretty worthless to me.

From reading these reviews, I guess these batteries are a hit or miss. Mine did not hold their charge after completely draining them and recharging them. They could not even power my camera through the day for a trip to Disneyland. Due to the expense of sending these back to J & R, I didn't bother to return them so I don't know if I received a defective batch.

I go through so many garsh darn batteries, these seemed too good to be true. The price was so low, I bought these and thought I might be returning them very shortly.
To my surprise, they work great. A heads-up, they take longer to charge than the other name brand rechargeable batteries that I have. I don't know why, but these take almost twice as long as the Energizer rechargeables I've got. It doesn't really matter, 'cause they work just fine after they're charged. Bottom line: For the price, they do what you expect them to. A great buy!

I purchased the Power 2000 charger with 8 AA NiMH batteries. New out of the box only 7 of the 8 batteries would charge up. 3 of them checked on a battery tester after charging overnight showed only 80% capacity. Very disappointing. After spending $70 from a store that does not accept returns on batteries. VidPro wants $8.95 to return the defective battery. I did not purchase these on Amazon, wish I had because Jersey Camera sold me 4 for $25 and Amazon lists the same batteries 4 for $5.

Mine would accept a charge, but they seemed to discharge faster than the ones they replaced. I used them in a digital camera and just learned to put in a new set every day when I was using the camera. They definitely self-discharged, so it was hard to use them for trips where I didn't have a charger . . . I finally just bought lithium batteries for travel, which isn't as "green" as rechargeables but far more reliable.
