2.0 out of 5 stars Beginners should look elsewhere, May 22, 1998
By A Customer
Mr. Lussier emailed me that this book was for beginners. Nothing could be further from the truth! He writes out all these equations and algorithms for tesellation and rendering but never EXPLAINS how to create it in a program. As a result of this, his applications of Lace3D and Silly Space were difficult to follow and useless to me. My frustrations can summed up as follows. He does a very nice job of explaining how to setup up the OPEN GL environment but leaves this message in the OnPaint MFC function "Look up the OPEN GL drawing functions" without providing an example function to follow. What's more, he fails to list OPEN GL drawing function parameters in the back of the book, which defeats the whole purpose of covering it in the first place.

All in all, don't buy this book unless you already have an in depth knowledge of 3d graphics programming!
