I used it for two hours. At the end of that time I attempted to reconfigure it with a different circuit design and the post broke right off when I tried to loosen the nut.

It worked like a charm while it was connected. As a general rule of thumb if you plan to keep it in one place and not disconnect and reconnect it a lot, go ahead and purchase it. I was using it in a bike generator capacity so that meant it would be reconnected a fair amount.

I had problems with my system draining my battery of power. With this capacitor, the headlights and gauges dont dim anymore when I really crank up the volume. Works great and looks amazing as well. I have had many compliments.

Bought this cap some time earlier this year and it is still working great some months down the road with some heavy loads hitting off of it. I would have to say I really got my money worth out of this cap, I give it two thumbs up.

I'm using this cap alongside a Kappa ONE (800W RMS) pushing two Infinity 120.9w and wow, this thing works like a charm and the LED lights are a great addition. As another reviewer mentioned the terminals don't seem to be the best quality after tightening and loosening it, it seemed as if one of the terminals were about to break off, but it didn't (thankfully).

In case you're wondering how the LEDs come into play, it seems as if whenever the amp pulls power from the capacitor, the LED's create a "ring" type effect that works really good to accent bass beats in the darkness.

Overall I was highly pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a capacitor in the 1000W range.

Works well, easy to install, makes a huge difference!!! Very highly recommend this as compared to it's retail counterpart at $150 easily.

The main reason that i got this was for not dimming my headlights!!!my headlights are still dimming but not as bad as before!!! I have 1000 watts kenwood amp(500rms) and this makes my 1200watts kenwood subwoofer hit much better and louder! and my amp doesnt go off when the music is loud!!! i would give 3.5 to it! but theres no 3.5 option in here so i give 4!

so I can't say it improved my system or not as I
installed this on a system with a new amp and woofer.
Car lights don't dim when bass hits.
LED is ok. Install should be easy, but tight at the top,
depending on the gauge of the cable.

It's a pretty good capacitor. The readout spits out basically the voltage charge level while the LEDs go back and forth when it's being used and/or charged. They turn off when your system is not outputting anything. The build quality on the other hand is garbage. The circuit board isn't "attached" to the capacitor itself, instead it's held down by the two +/- prongs.

Make sure you don't over-tighten the bolts, or the the prongs will break because they are very cheaply made. I found out that some of these (since I RMA'ed one), have manufacture defects. If you run into an issue with installing and removing the bolts, return it immediately. You'll just have more issues in the long run.

This capacitor does what it was designed to do. My headlights no longer dim... It also has some cool blue lights on the top. Great capacitor for the cost!

i have a 2000 watt amp running to my lows and another 1200 watt amp running to my highs and both amps are running off this one capacitor. it looks cool and it does its job. it lights up whenever its charging and none of the lights in my car dim when my speakers hit. this thing is just awesome
