The Power Acoustik PTID-5850NR is a perfect fit for those looking for a single-DIN unit with a larger dispay screen. The unit is well-made and the cable connections are all plainly labeled. The instructions are a bit hazy at first since they are obvously translated into English, but if you have done your own installs in the past this will be a piece of cake. The stereo worked perfectly the first time and sounds very good in my vehicle. Display screens are easy to read, the touch screen is quick to calibrate and the detachable face is definitely a security plus.
The multimedia features are excellent with USB, AUX and SD card inputs and a good choice of AV inputs/outputs. Access to the disc drive is a bit restricted due to the clearance when the face retracts. The provided remote allows access to all features I also got very quick response from the manufacturer regarding a technical question I sent them. I would strongly recommend this unit, especially for those with a single-DIN who want a large display or a 1-1/2 DIN who want a better choice of head units. |
