We bought this power adapter after the cord that goes from the adapter to the laptop on the original factory adapter broke (lasted for 7 years). We found this replacement on Amazon for a very good price and it showed up in just a couple days. Perfect fit and function, just plug it in and go. One downside to this item, though was the length of the cord from the socket to the adapter. The factory one had a 4-5' cord, while this replacement only had about a 2'. Simple enough fix, just pulled the power cord off the other one, plugged into the new one and kept going. Overall I'd rate this as an excellent product, but if you're used to ranging a little farther from a plug, you might want to keep ahold of your longer power cord.

A few months ago, my cat jumped on my desk and caused my laptop to fall and it cracked the end part of my charger. So after months of looking of not using my laptop, I started looking to buy a new charger. So I bought this one, yeah its cheap but I thought it would last for at least a year or so. Well here is the story, I got the product and I starting using it. After about 30minutes I felt the charger and it was HOT!!! Really HOT! Then my laptop started warning "LOW BATTERY< PLUG IN TO KEEP FROM USING YOUR WORK" The charger only lasted about 45minutes then it overheated and broke. The box had gotten so hot it was no longer good. I opened the box up where the electric board is and it had actually burn some of the wires and board. HOW CHEAP! After wasting my time and money on this product that is made to be crap, I used the new cord and replaced my broken prong cord. So even though this trash was well trash, I managed to get something out of it. I would never recommend this product to anyone else.
