1.0 out of 5 stars WARNING!!! May 15, 2012
Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
In the middle of the night, the power adapter blew up creating a loud noise and a giant spark of blue light. At the time of the explosion, the nintendo was not even on or being used! It was just simply plugged into my power strip where all my pricey electronics are plugged into. Was not even overloaded with multiple plug ins. I would take caution when buying products from this seller! They did refund my money when I told them what happened, but this is some major BS. This product is not safe for consumers. Don't want to see anyone else get ripped off.

3.0 out of 5 stars Kill 3 Birds With 1 Stone? March 13, 2010
By JW
I bought this same adaptor at a local video game shop. I only needed an adapter for my NES and figured why not power 3 systems in 1? I used it on my SNES and NES. It's been very convenient to only have to use one AC adapter on my powerstrip. My Nintendo and SNES sit side by side and I can switch from system to system. Perfect! No switching cords or trying to get two adapters to fit on one strip. However, the connection isn't perfect with these two systems. There is a wavy interference that runs across the screen that is noticeable every now and then so it's definitely not the same quality as the original adapters.

Now for use with Sega. They may have been pushing it with the 3 in 1. I've read in other reviews about a loud buzzing noise your Sega will emit. In my experience this is true. And it's CONSTANT. Luckily for me I have a spare adapter. If I didn't, I probably would have assumed that there was something wrong with my Sega. If you hear that buzzing sound it's the adapter NOT your Sega. The video will come in fine on your TV. You can hear music and sounds but it's drowned out by the noise the adapter puts off. For use with a Sega you should look elsewhere. It seems like the Sega might have been just a throw in because it works off the same input as the Nintendo.

I've also read about the adpater overheating and the lid popping off as a result. I've played many hours on the adapter and never had a problem. Alot of the adapters heat when you play a lot of hours with it. I use it all the time, it does get warm but has caused no problems.

What your left with is basically a 2 in 1 for your old Nintendo systems. Unless you play your Sega with the volume down (which I sometimes do) then you can consider it a 3 in 1. Overall, acceptable for the Nintendo's but not the Genesis.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ehh.... It works. October 4, 2009

The build quality is terrible. After a few months of sitting on a power strip, the entire cover broke of, revealing the REALLY HOT transformer inside, not safe for kids. But it does do the job powering a NES.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother February 4, 2012

Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
I am guessing most of these adapters shipped out don't arrive broken open with the insides scrambled, but the case is flimsy looking and was cracked up one corner as well.

I thought of soldering the inner ground wire in place and gluing back together the case, but then I saw some bare copper wires inside that looked like they had to touch if I put things back together...that's where I thought that I would rather not chance literally playing with fire and sent this POS back.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not that great for SNES. November 15, 2013

For many SNES games that require the additional power of the original AC adapter (Star Fox, SMRPG, etc) this device will cause horrible red lines and red blurring to appear on the screen. It did this for me on an original SNES and an SNES mini. Does not have the same voltage as the original AC adapter.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just like the real thing, Only newer. March 2, 2012
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I got one to power my beloved NES and I have to say, this is far and wide the best third-party NES PSU I've ever used.

I also used it on my best friend's SNES model 2 a few times. Never tried it on a Genesis and don't intend to. Genesis audio requires some very exact ratings.

All said and done, build quality is OK, there's no interference in the audio or video from NES, and everything's great!

Some folks may not enjoy using third-party hardware, but I say the end Justi''s the means!

Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
So I have had this thing for 5 years. After working for a little bit, my snes randomly died. So I chalk it up to old mechanics. But it was a strange and sudden one close to getting this thing. Oh well.

So just this last month I got another one. Brand spanking new, plugged it in (cause I like... HAVE to have my NES hooked up at the same time). Same exact thing happened that happened to the last one some odd 5 years back. I go through a lengthy process of deduction finding the source of the problem because I laid down some cash for this thing wanting it to work properly.

Just get the snes brand. Save yourself some fried mechanics. SNES's are nigh invulerable beasts as long as you don't rape them with low grade products like this.

Thanks.

It definitely works, but fell apart a couple months after buying it. Used electrical tape to tape the plug case back together, and still works.
