5.0 out of 5 stars Worth purchasing
I bought the classic PowerBlock set just a few weeks ago. Having read a lot of reviews it became clear that a tray or stand was going to make using the blocks much easier. I didn't want to spend 100+ on a stand nor did I really have space for a stand in my apartment. I purchased the tray and have found it very useful. versus
3.0 out of 5 stars It's expensive, but necessary, unfortunately.
When I first got this, I was disappointed. It's just a folded piece of sheet metal, with a non-stick coating. The price was high, considering what the product is.

However, it's a great convenience, and it protects the floors and carpets from scratches and dents. I begrudgingly recommend this item if you have powerblocks.

Changing the blocks on carpet without a tray can be difficult and resting the blocks on a hardwood floor or on a table could easily scratch the surface given their weight.

The tray provides a very solid surface that you don't have to worry about scratching or denting. Most of all it makes changing the weights easy. I bought these specifically for use with the P90X program. With the tray I am able to change to different weights quickly enough to keep up with the pace of the P90X videos.

It is a simple product that does exactly what it advertises. Recommended.

bought this tray to hold my powerblock weights. it does what it needs to do, holding my weights for easy access. This also keeps the weights from damaging my hard wood floor, and makes switching the amount of weight easier. Overall a good purchase.

seems like a high price for what it is, but I guess it does work. Doesn't have rubber feet, so you can't put it on any furniture you don't want to scratch. I put it on the floor, so it's not a problem, except to bend over and lift the weight. (I guess if you have a problem with that, you shouldn't be lifting it??)

3.0 out of 5 stars A slightly useful tray for Powerblocks, with one little annoyance, August 28, 2010

What this trey does is simply hold the Powerblocks at a more convenient angle when moving Powerblocks in and out. My little complaint is the right and left side lips make it difficult to pin the last plate on (at least for the 50 lb. Powerblocks). Aside from that, it seems a bit pricey for a piece of painted metal.

This product does exactly what it claims to do - it holds your powerblocks neatly in place, allowing you to store them during or between workouts without marking your floor. There is not much to it - it's just a metal tray, so don't expect anything fancy. It's worth $39 to me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just what I wanted, October 7, 2007

I bought the dumbbell set several years ago without the stand. Spotted this tray quite by accident and built my own stand out of plywood. Not shown in the image are 4 metal tabs bent down from the main sheet that are predrilled for screws. The main sheet is set at 15 degrees above the horizontal. The tray comes with 2 self-stick vinyl patches, visible in the image on left and right, that mostly just prevent clanking and paint scraping. They don't prevent sliding! Also included is a self-stick decal indicating the dumbbell weights in English and Metric with colors matching the weight increments. This is also visible in the center of the image.
