Berend Breitenstein was born on June 11, 1964. He lives in Hamburg, Germany. Berend has been a natural bodybuilder since he turned 13 years old. His first contest was the Mr. Hamburg Junior Championships in 1979. As a WNBF Pro Natural Bodybuilder, he gave his competition debut in 1998. Ten years later he stepped on stage as a Pro for the first time at the WNBF Pro Masters Cup in 2008. He has since written 17 books in the German language about drug-free bodybuilding. Most of his books can be found throughout Europe. Berend`s first English language book "Bodybuilding. Successful. Natural. Healthy." is available on http://www.amazon.com as of February 2011. He works as an author, personal trainer and Editor in Chief of the German edition of Natural Bodybuilding & Fitness magazine, which is originally published in the United States.
