I took a mission trip to North East India last month -- I don't know what I would have done without this adapter! All the receptacles there required this kind of plug. This device is very sturdy, and fit well into my camera backpack. Keep in mind that this item is an adapter, not a converter. Some electronic gadgets require something to convert the higher voltage found in most places abroad.

I took this adapter with me when I traveled in India for several weeks. I had a US power strip plugged in with all its slots filled with electronic components. So I know this can handle a high enough amperage for typical needs of a traveler. This was particularly useful because of the grounding pin--many of the outlets in India now will not allow you to plug in a 2-pronged plug (the 3rd prong sticks out more, so it moves aside a plastic latch that usually covers the line and neutral prongs).
