I am deployed in Iraq right now, and this product was given to me. I thought I would share that it is working wonderfully. I have plugged an array of 110v things into it and they work great. It is heavy, well built, and does its job. There is no noise to it whatsoever, except when you turn it on, but that's normal to ALL step converters. If you are looking for a good converter, consider this product.

My friend is an optician and couldn't work with his machine running only
with voltage 220v so after I ordered him this transformer who convert
110v to 220v now he's happy because the power transformer is up and down and down to up

I am using the transformer as step-up from 110V to European 220V 1 kW heater. Even I run it continually, there are no hick-ups whatsoever. Absolutely silent and cool. I could not be happier with it.

I got this to use with some small appliances while I'm studying in Europe. At first this thing was completely silent. After a couple of weeks however, it started to make some noise. If I leave it on too long, or absentmindedly use it as a footrest it gets really REALLY loud.

Also, a helpful warning for anyone using this, there are two outlets on the transformer, one for 120v and the other for 220v. Always make sure you're plugging your appliances into the right one. I did this and almost lost my coffeemaker.

This unit arrived in time for Christmas but alas was totally defective. The screw-top for the fuse was stripped - but even if I manually held the fuse in place the unit did not power up. Zero quality control- typical of cheap Chinese imports - just wish I could find an American company who made these transformers.

I bought this power converter for my deployment to Iraq. When I unboxed the converter for the first time (in Iraq) the 110v or 220v outputs did not work. After opening up the converter I saw that the wires connecting the transformer to the output had become detached. I was rather disappointed because I really wanted to play my xbox.

I had my avionics buddy resoder the wires to the output. After that It worked as advertised.

Its hard to find any quality made low cost converters anywhere online, but this works as advertised with no problems.

My Rotel HI-FIs arrived US this month and I can power them up but they are not working as expected.
I checked manual and find that all my 220V Rotels need manual modification to suit the 110V input.

I checked with B&W and they confirmed that I can use the 220V transformer for my Rotels, then I bought
this 1000W Power Transformer. Today they arrived in good condition and it is of the right size on my table
and looks beautiful too :-)

But the best thing is the silence. When I power it on I hear no noise at all !
It worked as expected and silently and really deserve the 5 star!

First of all the transformer is noiseless, I have turned ON all at the same time with no issues: 47LG LE5500 led tv+ Ps3 slim + Toshiba HD DVD + Denon AVR-391 + Pioneer SW-8 Subwoofer and a lava lamp.
Highly recommended!

All the components are 110V but now are working in a 220V country.

It does what it says. Instructions are pretty crappy but the use is pretty straight forward.
The built quality is good. It's on the heavy side.
It looks like it wil work really good in the long run.
Just be sure to never connect appliances that consume more power than this transformer can deliver (1000 watts).
This is the major reason most people blow the fuse or in worst case scenarios, the appliance and/or the transformer.

We are using this transformer to convert our euro PS3 to US electric current. It works great - although it takes up a lot of space... Make lots of room and game on.
