I found the Power Bright VC2000w Voltage Transformer to be just what I needed. We moved from the Philippines and had several appliances that needed 220 volt power in the United States. While the transformer is fairly large and a bit heavy, it is not noisey. I have had no problem with it using it every morning for boiling hot water with my Korean water heater which boils water in less than 1 minute. The product was reasonably priced and we are happy with it.

It is 2000W and my device is using 1000W (load). The transformer is cold after using for about 1 hours (good sign). I do not notice any bad part of it, it works what it should be. It has hum noise some times, overall it is good. Daily use, it has been using for more than two month long, no problem.

I got this transformer for an Onkyo speaker system I ordered on amazon, to convert the power to 110 volts. The speaker system is rated at 1200watts full load and this transformer hasn't missed a beat since day one. So im quite happy with it =D

The product itself works fine but there is a consequence to its use. When we took this product out of the package for the first time, its smelled so horrible (chemicals)that we kept it in the garage for two months to "air out". The smell reminded me of the the new building construction in China or formaldehyde. It was very very strong and I was nervous to have this in my home with two small children. We then had to leave it on in a separate room with the door closed and window open so that the smell could burn off. For months I could only use it for short periods of time before it would stink up the whole kitchen and I would have to open up a window. Now it only faintly smells when I leave it on for long periods of time (a few hours). The point being is that you can probably find this same product else where without the toxic trouble. I had a friend who had the same product from a different seller and did not have this problem. Save your health and get it from someone else.

I live in Germany and got this to use some of my US appliances like my Keurig coffee maker and blender ... it works great and very quiet ... there are just a few downsides: it's very big, very industrial looking and only can support 1 US or European plug at a time. That said, if you are looking for something to make US or European appliances work with 110 or 220, this is it!

We had 2 transformers, but were looking for a higher wattage one for the kitchen here in Europe for our numerous American appliances. We went with this one and were amazed. It is the highest wattage and yet the QUIETEST of the 3. We couldn't ask for more. Honestly.

Converter works fine, as expected. It's quiet ( well, I use it to drive a pair of active speakers so there's no chance of me hearing it even if it were noisy), and as others have commented, it did smell a bit of new plastics or something. Anyway, that smell has pretty much gone after a few days of running the unit. All in all, the unit is as expected and I have no regret/problem with it. Oh and it was very well packaged so it's unlikely together damaged in transit. Shipping time was very good at 2 days from when I ordered.

I read a few reviews, checked the wattage rating that was needed for my appliance which I bought from India(an automatic electric pressure cooker, Preethi Brand).

This this works well, does not heat up or hum. However it is quite heavy, so , I would suggest leaving it in a spot which would work for all other appliances that would need use of this transformer.

It's heavy, and not really at all portable, but does it's job! Bought it to run my coffee pot in Afghanistan, and it works great!

So far so good. It's heavy. But will get all the ones from India working. I got a heavy duty electronic from India and it works smoothly

It's not noisy at all. But gets heated very quickly. as I said. So far so good.
