This inverter is a great value. It shipped with 3' of 0-gauge cables to connect it to the batteries, which was a nice bonus. The remote looks like a little keyless entry car key fob with three buttons, but only one button seems to do anything - it toggles the inverter on or off. Of course, the switch on the inverter must be in the "on" position for the remote to work.

I installed it in my camper with 300Ah Lifeline batteries and I was able to run both the air conditioner and the microwave at the same time, using about 2700W according to the inverter's display.

Here are the downsides - the 4 plugs each have an independent 15amp breaker on them, so by default you can't run any single device that requires more than about 1500W. But I opened the inverter and noticed that the left and right plugs are wired to the same place (and on the same phase). So, if you tie them together, you can get 30A out of it without popping the breakers.

But the biggest downside is the overheat shutoff feature. According to the manual, the thing will shut itself down if the ambient temperature goes above 37C. That's only 95F. So if you're counting on it for air conditioning, you better have a way to cool off the inverter before you count on the inverter to run the air conditioner!!

This may not be the best inverter to build into the camper, but at this price it's hard to ignore.

I BOUGHT THIS 12 VOLT TO 110 VOLT INVERTER TO POWER MY JACUZZI, 1000-1500 WATT MILK HOUSE SPACE HEATER,PLUS THE 10,000 BTU AIR CONDITIONER AND TO RUN MY ECHO STAR DVR, COMPUTER, AND 47 INCH HDTV USED AS A TV AND MONITOR AND THE FRIDGE,20 INCH BOX FAN,AND LOTS OF LED LIGHT BULBS AROUND THE HOUSE,PLUS IT IS HOOKED UP TO 10 DEEP CYCLE 12 VOLT BATTERIES WITH 32 SOLAR PANELS. THE BATTERIES AND INVERTER POWER EVERYTHING ALL NIGHT LONG AND THE SYSTEM IS ALL WORKING WONDERFUL WITH THE POWER BRIGHT INVERTER.THE INVERTER HAS 4 FANS ON THE BOTTOM AND 1 FAN ON THE BACK OF UNIT. THE FANS ALL BLOW OUT FROM BOX NOT INWARD.THERE SEEMS TO BE NO AIR INLET ON THE INVERTER BOX SO THAT IS GREAT TO KEEP OUT DUST AND DIRT. THE FANS RUN FAST CONSTANTLY BUT NOT TO LOUD WHEN THE UNIT STARTS PULLING 1,280 WATTS OR MORE AND IT IS 80 DEGREES OUTSIDE. AT 1,000 WATTS IT RUNS THE FANS FOR 1 MINUTE THEN SHUTS OFF FOR 10 TO 12 MINUTES AT SAME TEMP OUTSIDE. AT NIGHT IT'S 55 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND THE FANS DON'T GO ON AT ALL EVER. I TRIED USING TWO 1,500 WATT SPACE HEATERS. ONE IN EACH OUTLET TO SEE IF THE UNIT WOULD RUN BOTH HEATERS AT THE SAME TIME USING ALL 3,000 WATTS. THE INVERTER SHUT DOWN AND TRIPPED THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS BUTTONS. ALL IN ALL I AM HAPPY THAT IT WORKS GREAT FOR MY NEEDS.IT CAME WITH A WIRELESS REMOTE CONTROL THAT WORKS FROM A DISTANCE OF MY HOUSE THAT IS 110 FEET LONG. IN THE BOX THE INVERTER CAME WITH 3 FOOT COPPER CABLES, 1 RED 1 BLACK. I HAVE BEEN RUNNING THE UNIT FOR MONTHS NOW WITH NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. We bought this in Sept for our backup solar array. We've used it maybe a dozen times never more than a 300 watt load. Today we turned it on an it began smoking and caught on fire. It was screw to a wall and I had a heck of a time getting it off the wall before it could burn our house down. I AM deeply disappointed and angry about this shoddy dangerous product. It's past the window for a return to Amazon so I'll have to deal with the MFG. I DON"T WANT ANOTHER ONE OF THESE IN MY HOUSE.
