The Power of the Cross has been a mainstay for me. I find myself periodically re-reading many of the scriptures and teaching lessons. The Power of the Cross has provided me with balance. A balance often shaken between the challenges of fulltime ministry and personal growth. Dr. Stanley keeps me searching within for the gifts God has placed inside of me. His teaching push me go to the next level of my faith walk with God. I recommend to The Power of the Cross to any and everyone who is looking to find peace of mind in a fluctuating world. THIS IS A VERY GOOD DEVOTIONAL BOOK. IT WAS IN ALMOST NEW CONDITION. IT ARRIVED QUICKLY VERY GOOD COMPANT TO DEAL WITH

I have many books by Dr. Stanley...and they have all been excellent. This one is no different. He takes verses (most that I have heard at some point) and applies them to a point. If you are looking for detail and long-winded explanations...this book may not fit that need, however, it is a good addition...I read a section daily at my desk at work as a reminder of Whose I am...love it!!!

Very disappointing. Dr. Stanley is the most gifted teacher in the Church in America. He has written many books that have taught me much. This book's title sounds exciting but is little more than a small booklet with a hard cover. He deals with the subject with brevity and without worthy scriptural reference. It is of no value, except a lite read that can be done in one sitting. One can simply thumb through it and realize it is not worth the price.

During a time of great need I purchased "The Power of the Cross". I got more than I bargained for. This book opened my eyes and my heart to address the internal struggle that had been so prevalent in my spiritual life. I found the scriptual references to be quite helpful and appropriate within the context of the subject. I have given this book to 2 friends and have received positive comments and appreciation from both of them. It is a wonderful gift.
