Mixxer, don't get me wrong!,

Even from the early 90s, Prong always used to upset the shortsighted metal fans who couldn't really cope with crossover releases such as Ministry's Psalm 69, Antrhax's Attack of the Killer B's or Die Krupps' Paradise Now. Totally unknown to many, Prong blended industrial, techno, gabba and metal at a time where Prodigy were still playing with Commodore 64s and Rammstein were probably covering Depeche Mode songs in a local East Germany pub. I was alway fell blown away by the ferocity of remixed versions of the classic songs Whose fist is this anyway, Snap your Fingers, Snap our neck and Prove you Wrong. This last release, did not disappointed me. It actually made me listen the Power of the Damager more carefully and pay attention to songs whose riffs went unnoticed in the original version. Although the sound is definitely 90s , the mixxes are just fantastic. This release came also out of the blue as I haven't listened to a decent industrial-metal release since KMFDM's Hau Ruck in 2005. Well done Tommy Victor!

Power of the Damager is an outstanding disc. The remixes make it sound like disco or rave music. Some songs are make the originals unrecognizeable. The only exception was "Can't stop the bleeding" where the mixer emphasized the bone crushing riff and didn't fiddle TOO much with the original song- kudos to that individual. The rest is crap.
