Ladies, God has given us this wonderful gift....our femininity. Michelle McKinney Hammond does it once again (and you wonder why she is my favorite!) in The Power of Femininity. This book is full of practical principles about how to use what God has given us in the proper place. Michelle has showed the power women have to shape cities, states and nations. The power of influence is a powerful thing. It's not flirting or "putting your self out there;" it's living the way God created a woman to be. Michelle will challenge your thinking about womanhood. I can't tell you how God worked through this book in my life to allow me to take hold of this wonderful power and use it for His glory. I am in awe about how much better my relationships are on every level! Ladies, if this book does not make you overjoyed that you are a woman....we need to talk! If you are a mother of girls....this is a must. This is a great book that promotes sisterhood, healthy male-female relationships and, most of all, a deeper relationship with God. If you only read one book this year, let it be this one!!!!You won't be sorry.

From the very beginning of the book, I know that I was in class with the counseling spirit of God. I was so impressed with the subjects and how they fit into my life and into many lives of people I associate with. I know that this book is annointed to bring about change and a peace about making new decisions that bring honor and glory to God. I thank Michelle for having the grace to print it. I am sending it to about 5 people for Christmas. I believe that it is a seed that I will plant into some lives and God will supply all the nutrients needed to save some marriages and even change how single women see themselves. A MUST READ

This book was so powerful and such an inspiration to me. This book addressed every woman regardless of where they are in their lives. In this book, Michelle talks alot about how we relate to men regardless of where we are in our lives. She reinforces the need for us to respect and honor men in general. She shows us how to utilize what God has given us as women, such as the power of influence. She discusses the proper use of it and the improper use of it, which is manipulation. The book is phenomenal. I found myself crying and repenting while I was reading it. One of my most enjoyable segments of this book was when she addressed the Christian, Single, Professional woman. She talks about us wearing these self-sufficient attitudes on our shoulders and that being all that men see when they meet us, when men indeed have a need to be needed. This blessed me because God had already begun to deal with me on presenting the beauty of who I am to a man and not all of my accomplishments. It was certainly confirmation. While she addressed the need for us to be submissive and honor men, she balances this by addressing the need for single women and married women to stop rescuing men and allow them to be men. She even addresses motherhood and women in leadership positions. The bottom line is that we can be ladies and feminine regardless of what situations we encounter.

VIRTUOUS WOMEN: If you are serious about improving your life, the lives of those around you, and building your home upon the solid foundation of the LORD, this book should already be in your collection. Ms. Hammond has proven herself a master writer and beacon of truth. She has shined a light on the path of Virtue.

I have to witness here! I am writing this because I can only pray that some other beautiful woman can be blessed the way I have. This book has opened up my eyes to the power and beauty of womanhood, and revelling in God given gifts can only bless you. I have been able to improve my realtionships with my man, my family and all whom I care for. I have recieved gifts that I longed for and listened to people open up to me as I practice the mandate of Influence that God has blessed me with and that Ms. Hammond awakened me to. Because I have chosen to walk with the LORD on this one and been faithful even when I didn't understand, I have been blessed ten fold. I have recieved my blessings without shouting at the top of my lungs to be heard. Never before have I know God or his purpose for me the way I do now. All I really can say is "Thank You."

Please, at the very least let me leave you with this... " Feminity is definitly strength under control... It doesn't insist on its own way, but most of the time it gets it."

I am so very thankful for the book that God has appointed and anointed Michelle to write. It is helpful for both the single and married woman alike. God be praised! Because of this book, I have grown toward a deeper understanding of the role of the woman in her home, her community, her workplace, and her church. Her role is to display a witness of the goodness of the Lord, because she is a woman submitted to His purpose for her life. The woman who submits to the Lord and understands her purpose (that He has given) and executes each duty that is a part of that purpose with excellence, she is TRULY the VIRTUOUS woman. Thank you, Michelle, for helping women understand the higher standard of living that God seeks for women to have.

Because of the book, I also understand that my God has been sculpting me for the man that he has for me so that I could complement that man and he me...and I can't help but to REJOICE over that. Ladies, you MUST read this book..it is truly a rich BLESSING.

After reading the book, you won't have a disdain for the word, SUBMISSION, but you will be praising God for that very commandment, and joyfully embrace God's purpose for the relationship you have (or will have) with your eartly husband. Michelle, may God continue to bless you with His vision for women in a contemporary age. Now, I am getting ready to read Get A Love Life.

Michelle is so real and so consistent. God speaks clearly to women through her inspired words. In her new work The Power of Feminity, (in spite of Michelle's age) she speaks with the sober wisdom of an older woman, then she is light hearted like a sister to sister advisor. Her experience as a 90's woman helps us find balance in our call to be a helpmate, mother, and handmaiden of the Lord. Thanks Michlelle for you leadership - warrior spirit and servant's heart. Mostly for the music that I hear when I read your books.

This book has helped me in so many ways. I've never felt closer to God. I understand my husband and how I can make a difference not only in my own life but in his as well. This is one of the most insightful and wonderful books I've ever read!

Michelle explains how to be effective while not conforming to the world as it is today and not using the old feminine whiles of manipulation. The book was a joy to read.

For every woman who has been convinced by society to believe that she must downplay her God given femininity to suceed in a "man's world"; this is a must read.
Remnincent of Elisabeth Elliot's "Let Me Be A Women", Ms. Hammond exhorts women to embrace God's plan instead of the worlds ideology. Ms. Hammond includes many biblical examples of women who held power, and achieved results by using the gifts that God has given specifically to women. It also offers a wealth of insight into the minds of men, and how our influence can make or break them. This book is not only a blessing, but it will teach you how to be a blessing to those around you. Thank you Ms. Hammond for teaching women that feminine does not mean weak, it is strength wrapped in grace.

This is definitely a must read for the Christian woman whether single or married. As a single woman in my twenties, this book has really opened my eyes to the power that I have. I especially loved that part of the book where Michelle wrote of the damage we can inflict to the devil's plans when we go down in prayer. I have a stronger desire more than ever to really seek God in prayer for changes not only in my life, but in the lives of my family and friends. Read it -- you'll be blest!
