This review is from: Power of Form: African Art from the Horstmann Collection (Hardcover)
Don't buy it if you have any standards - I don't mean the production values - the pictures are reasonable, although the lay-out leaves something to be desired, but the quality of the pieces, for anyone familiar with African art, is third rate - I should have known this as it is often the case with monographs of private collections. You only have to look at photos of pieces owned by collectors like Arman, or any of the earlier books from the small Parisian museum (Musee Dapper) such as Formes et Functions to know what I mean by quality.
